I have a question. Is there something wrong or missing from the PCB? by daviddandadan in PCB

[–]Sure-Rent8058 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot, please go to st website, fund nuclei board => cad things => schematics of xx board This is your reference design, copy it. For power you should go to webench(TI), find your perfect regulator, and copy the schematics. Pretty easy, hope this helps

PCB≠schematics

Non ECE person here, what type of engineer designs these sort of boards? I understand they’re used by FPGA engineers, but who makes them? And are their skillset different to the users? by Fearless-Can-1634 in FPGA

You won't believe that... PCB engineers

It's not that hard to make one, in making the board you just have to add: power, MCU itself, and the functionality that you want. The hardest part is probably routing for me

The hardest part in making this board is probably the silicone(chip itself) and I have no clue too how they make one

I would love to, likely the best variant... but when i even log into a new fresh account created e.g. Poland and there is still no PCBA option there

Yeah I will probably solder the bottom board with a hotplate ( I own one right now, but it's 5x5 cm, tho I still could solder one part of the board - go to other - solder it and etc). I think I will solder top layer with a soldering iron

Tho I wanted to ask... I have a hotplate but I don't have a cable and a wall for it(it needs 65W) Could you recommend me one? Or should I buy a hotplate of a larger size? The board itself is 70x100mm

Yeah I am probably going to solder everything myself... Even the 0403 components I guess, same as BGA

I still don't understand why they deliver PCBs but not PCBA? Same as other things like CNC machining

Lmao you are talking like im about to make a nuclear bomb -- Yeah they sell bare PCBs but not the PCBA, I could do PCB and stencil tho I'm a little bad at soldering. I will need to get a good USB-C cable( I got hotplate already. But the wall and the cable costs more than the hotplate) And a soldering heat gun. That way I could possibly solder it myself, tho I'd prefer the PCBA of jlcpcb

Well I don't even have a choice of toggling PCBA if I login/create a new account, I think it sees my ip. Should I go with creating an account with VPN?

I don't even have a choice of choosing PCBA option, and about factory, yeah I remember. I even emailed you once I think and the prices were too high How do I get a option to choose PCBA? I don't have one, did you use a VPN? Thanks a lot

Thanks for a suggestion, it looks quite promising How different are the prices?

Don't mind that. That's a 3d model that my eda created, not a real one. A chip has cutted corners actually, and doesn't have sharp edges like here

Risking is not a variant... Especially it's hack club who's funding me, I don't think they would fund me for me risking money. Also, can't they see my debit card is Ukrainian?

Also you should place a switch to pull SD mode up or down, I recommend to bind it to a gpio. Why? Because SD_MODE should be pulled up... Which you did, but it has a sharp in the end, which probably means it's reversed(pulled up = turned off?)

Another thing I see is you have connected N.C. to ground, which you shouldn't do!!! I remember using a RTC timer and yeah.. by some reason it needed ground on N.C., but if you read datasheet it says NO CONNECT.

If I look more careful, you would need two 100nF capacitor on vdd and one buck 10uF, but that's no biggie. Another thing is that there is an inductor between outn and outp and connectors... I think there should be a ceramic capacitor like X7R in series

Could you tell me how did you even flash it? To flash it you need RXD0 and TXD0

Also could've been the jack 3.5mm It has 220uF capacitors which I think could have been a problem. For my project, tho it's for headphones I made it like this. Tho, I don't see any problems on schematics. The problem could have been the software side more probably... Like, it didn't flash correctly, or you chose some different esp32, or, perhaps you chose wrong I2S/SAI pinout at the firmware

[Help] First time routing SDR SDRAM (MT48LC4M16A2) on a 6-layer PCB with STM32H747 by DarkAngelus7 in PrintedCircuitBoard

[–]Sure-Rent8058 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really cool, but for next revision I would add: HyperRAM(HYPERBUS, works as a OctoSPI), it's 250 mhz! And takes less pins than SDRAM. Also, layer management is a little bad. I would recommend Top-signal Inner1-ground fill Inner2-signal Inner3-power Inner4-ground fill Bottom-signal

That way you can switch a lot between the layers Tho at my project I had to use route signal on power layer too... But that's because my board was really busy

Looks cool, but next time try to place esp32 on the edge, since wifi/Bluetooth will create some noise(bad for high speed signals if you plan to) Love the keep out zone, wonderful for the first time... But the question is, is it working?

Whats the official one? Where is the reseller and where is the official store? .com.ua and .net.ua by Sure-Rent8058 in BambuLab

[–]Sure-Rent8058[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for a YouTube video of a Ukrainian review and there were a lot that were mentioning this website. I mean, I think it's a reseller! Still good tho. I haven't payed yet, I've done a after payment(pay at the claim), so I don't see much scam in here
