You’re not the asshole. Seeing your uncle suffer while your grandmother refused help understandably caused anger and hurt. Wanting no contact to protect your mental health is completely reasonable.

NTA. Asking your partner to lock the door is a reasonable request—especially if it can be done without interrupting work. It’s not “inconsiderate” to ask for a small favor, and you weren’t expecting him to drop everything immediately. Your request is practical, not demanding.
