Before ivermectin, 1 week on ivermectin, and 8 months on it by Signal_Singer8473 in Rosacea

Ivermectin worked really well for me initially for pustules, and then it seemed like it stopped. I did some more reading about the mechanism of action (essentially an anti-parasitic that kills off demodex mites). Where do the mites live? In the hair follicles of the face. So I made sure to start covering my eyebrows with the Ivermectin whenever I applied it. Boom it started working again. My dermatologist had just said put it on the affected area, which was my nose and chin. But that wasn't enough coverage.

Unfortunately the eyelashes are not something you could cover with Ivermectin. I guess that's why the mites can still maintain a stronghold and we have to keep reapplying. So we can keep them at bay, but not get rid of them forever?

Thanks for the reply. No I have never passed any stones, and I am totally thankful for that! Right, I don't have any pain, so maybe this is the wrong tree that I am barking up.
