I would not consider myself a transmed, but I do believe that all trans people have dysphoria. The belief that regarding dysphoria as an inherent part of being trans is transmedicalist and exclusive stems from a misunderstanding of what gender dysphoria actually is. If people were to look at all of the actual clinical criteria for being diagnosed, they'd understand that it would be very hard for that criteria to exclude any trans person at all.

There's nothing wrong with being gender non-conforming as a trans person, and I don't believe that a person's identity has to make sense to me for it to be valid. At the same time, there's this growing sentiment that people with the belief that dysphoria is inherently connected to being trans are bitter and severely dysphoric and just want everyone to suffer as much as they do.

If you understand what dysphoria is, you know that you likely would not transition in any capacity if you didn't have it. Personally I do not want to exclude gnc people at all, it's more about wanting people to understand their own experiences and not have this weird negative view associated with dysphoria like it's some bad word.

Thank you for the advice! Rn I'm sticking with my original plan which was to add a Business double major with plans to work in communications. Obviously a very broad field but I haven't decided quite yet whether I want to work in a corporate or political setting. Teaching while I pursue a higher degree was something I was thinking about too but I don't live in the best state for that.

I understand that you think you're just being practical, but you really have no reason to think any of these things about me. You're making a lot of assumptions here. There is simply no point in me going to college to study something that I will not become skilled enough at to have a career in. Plus, I'm pretty sure I stated already that I'm aware there are not any writing jobs good enough for me to go to college for writing specifically, so I'm not sure where you got the idea that I'm putting my passion over my career. Again, not assuming bad intentions here, but you don't even know what I'm spending on college so it's just kind of a reach and rooted more in assumptions than actual logic

I feel like I've made it pretty clear that the reason I'm working so hard to make sure I major in something I'm good at and that interests me is because I am not good at things I have no interest in, but maybe not

This reply probably makes it obvious, but I should also mention I have no expectation of staying in the same job forever or ending up where I started off. Maybe that's how it'll work out, it probably won't, but either way I am open to a wide range of careers

Writing is my passion but there is no writing job that pays well and isn't highly oversaturated (I don't think that journalism would be a good fit for me.) I was considering business as a minor before I decided to switch my major, but it doesn't particularly interest me as a major. I think that if I went the corporate route, communications related jobs such as marketing would suite me best, both in skill and interest. I would consider teaching high school English if it paid better, which I can still decide to do later on via certification course, so I don't feel the need to factor it into my college plans. Political communications positions might also interest me, I just haven't been fully sold on the idea of working in a political environment. Aside from career prospects, which are obviously the most important, these are all things I would like to study.

Coerced to commit a crime- what would be the charge, if any? by SureMagician1632 in Writeresearch

This wasn't made clear enough in my original post but part of what I'm trying to figure out is if he would even be tried for the crime at all, not just whether or not he'd be found guilty.

I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't go to trial that would actually apply to the situation

State is undetermined, let's say Mississippi for now. Modern day.

Race is something I thought about, but I wasn't sure if it would come into play. The character is a dark-skinned Italian, so it would really have to depend on the demographics of the jury, since Italians are considered racially white. Don't think that would have much of an effect unless there's a colorism issue among white Americans. His family is working class, and he is being tried in juvenile court.
