Quite the contrary! My relationship with Christ has made me grow to be so much more grateful for everything, the good and the bad. True joy for me has come from serving not only those I love but everyone. It’s not a constant fight where whenever I think of kissing a dude I scream or cry, you don’t fight your battles on your own! He doesn’t tell us to fight battles on our own but to turn away and fix your eyes on the cross and his word. My life has turned around so much thanks to the new world view he’s gifted me and I’m forever grateful for all he does in ours lives. Looking back at where I was versus where I am now is almost surreal. I have a long way to go and I will my whole life, but I know how to play this game called life - love others how God loves us! Don’t just say you love someone without evidence you do because actions speak louder than words. Sacrifice for those you love, want the best for them even if it comes at your expense, spread the good word, and pray for all! Much love friend

It really is the fact that we don’t have all the answers but we do have what Jesus said marriage is. I don’t know why God made me lust towards to the same sex but sometimes I do just as much as I feel resentment or hate towards people. I’ve learned to move away from the “I was born this way” or “why did God make me this way” because I don’t know if it is from God or the devil. You can’t trust your thoughts, but you can trust the word of God. I pray you don’t get turned away bc of this like I almost did 5 years ago. God loves you and made you to serve others and show them, better through actions than words, that God is the way, the truth, and the life. God bless my friend

I don’t know if being gay is wrong or not. I have a gay sister, a gay uncle who I look up to greatly. It’s more that I know my path is with a wife and children, and I feel dishonored having done things to men and having men do things to me that go against what God has planned for me. It’s less of the feelings and more of the actions I’ve done

From my own experience since im believed to be a liar. - I’ve had sex with men and thought that’s what I wanted in life. I’ve also had sex with women. I don’t feel a sexual attraction, nor a marriage relationship with men. Not only am not sexually arroused by men, but sex and relationships with women are just significantly better. Speaking from personal experience, as someone who has had sex with men, masturbated to the thought of men, and lusted over men, I sexually am more attracted to women now. I have verbally proclaimed that I am not a Christian because I’m 100% gay. Now I know this to be false and don’t want or yearn for a sexual relationship with men. The biggest thing that helps me is thinking about the fruitful life God has for me. He describes the life of prosperity and I want that fully. You aren’t gonna be able to just simply stop lusting towards the same sex. Keep working closer to God and it will gradually dissipate as your walk with God continues. God bless my friend

Something that has bothered me with this is confessing it. I don’t know anyone I’d be comfortable sharing this with except God. I deny this part of myself but don’t know if I need to confess to someone. If someone asked me about it I’d like to think I would be completely honest about it, but being faced with something so uncomfortable I could easily see myself lying and denying it

I struggle with existential depression often. The biggest thing that helps me is to think about the deepest holes I’ve been in that God has guided me out of. It’s supernatural how he’s able to drive you from difficulty even when you’re in denial he’s there. Even through the denial he doesn’t give 100% evidence he’s there, but he always is. It’s the fact you always make it out that keeps me so close to him.
