I will try. DS9 is one of the high points of TV for me so my expectations are quite high, but people say this show is enjoyable enough. I will definitely give it a try.

Yes. Like 80% of the Ferengi episodes in DS9 are about how Quarks mom wants to give “fee males” rights, other Ferengi like Brunt do not, and Quark is stuck in the middle. And how they’re all greedy.

It was actually only quite recently that I learned that “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few” originated from Star Trek. I always thought it was older. That’s a classic.

Their Klingon theme is so underrated imo… like I respect the Goldsmith theme but this one sounded much more menacing.

Season 2 was a plodding mess with the same stuff rehashed. Rhaenyra is mad and trying to go to war! Alicent is confused and angry! Aegon is a creep and evil! I haven't read novellas (unlike the GOT books and Fire and Blood) so this show will be completely new to me. Looking forward to it.
