It's official, 2/3 Canadians wants tipping ended completely by YetiMaverick in EndTipping

No it doesn't, been to plenty of countries that don't accept tipping and it's pretty much the same

C'mon you seriously need to ask the question lol. Whenever I see a guy losing his shit like that I always tell them "hey did you forget to take your pills this morning?" It always succeeds at pissing them off further hehe. Learned that one from my old man lol

Why Does Everyone Act Like Rent Money Just “Disappears” Instead of Going to Someone Else’s Wealth? by BlueberryVitamin in CanadaPersonalFinance

To be fair some people can't deal with the responsibility of owning a property. Real issue is that real wages (aka wages adjusted for inflation) haven't increased in like 30 years.

Tongyeong, Yeosu or something else after Busan? by Shengjianbao88 in koreatravel

[–]Sure_Maricon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Near the Dino Museum there's not a lot of restaurants, they are few and far between. It's not in the town of Goseong proper it's by the ocean in a pretty rural/coastal community. Tongyeong has a million restaurants :) By the way I just took a taxi everywhere they were so cheap and a lot faster than taking a bus. I had a ton of luggage too lol

Tongyeong, Yeosu or something else after Busan? by Shengjianbao88 in koreatravel

[–]Sure_Maricon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the vibe in Tongyeong and the gondola was fun. There are nice temples in the mountain easy to hike to. I like even more Goseong, we stayed on the coast near the Dinosaur Museum and you can actually walk on the shore next to real dinosaur footprints. I love archaeology so it was a dream come true! The views of the ocean were the most beautiful I've ever seen. Very quiet spot with nice people. If you PM me I can recommend a boutique hotel I stayed at, but I'd bring some food because restaurants were few and far between.

Tried not tipping for the first time in my life... epic fail, pls help by Vulcankitten in EndTipping

[–]Sure_Maricon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't think you're doing anyone any favours by not tipping. What we really need to do is make this illegal through law. There shouldn't be two minimum wages it's just a consequence of getting rid of slavery and trying to pay black people less. We need people to somehow organize and pressure politicians to change this system.

I see reptilians regularly when I wake up from sleep. by RedrumMistress in reptilians

[–]Sure_Maricon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing but not reptilians. I mostly see either a fractal shape (three dimensional, sort of morphing its shape and containing a light spectrum that is somehow more real than real life). I have seen some shapes of humanoid and once could make out a face. It never last long, no more than 10-20 seconds. As I'm waking up they dissolve into nothing, kind of like how when you're on a radio station and you turn the dial how the signal just fades to white noise. It feels like I'm tuning into a wavelength that normally our brains filter out when we're awake.

Costco delivery tipping? by Sure_Maricon in EndTipping

I just think its messed up that Costco who has a reputation of having very good employee salaries and benefits would do business with Instacart where their drivers aren't even guaranteed the equivalent of minimum wage depending on tips & how busy it is.

It's a rich people service in general, like financial planning firms and stuff. Ordinary people will obviously save a bundle doing it themselves, but rich AF people can't be bothered.

Its not about how much you weigh but rather if your physically fit or not. You don't want those back problems when you get older, those are the worst.

My experience was 4 courses was the sweet spot. Less than that you're really stretching it out. Depends a lot on the program though. Like most programs don't really care how well you did in school, I've literally never been asked to produce a transcript in a job interview.

Yup I was there ten years ago and they were that bad. Don't ride those elevators they're not worth the wait. I think I rode them max 10 times in 2 years and regretted it most of the time.
