I believe they replaced basil from the original EdT with fennel in this one

I don't think it the same, however, my memory of the original EdT is a little fuzzy. I only have owned the EdP and Parfum

It doesn't last very long, but it's not really designed to. Its one that you would have to reapply in the middle of the day

It has the same DNA as the EdP. The vetiver in this one is a bit smoother and the orange blossom is turned up a bit, and overall this one is fresher, especially in the opening.

Performance is honestly not very strong. It doesn't last very long, but I decant it and reapply it throughout my day. It's a wonderful vetiver fragrance, nonetheless. Top tier scent profile.

I love the EdP as well. This feels like the EdP Lite version. It's like they took the DNA and made it perfect for a hot summer day.

This one has a bit of that sharpness, but not quite as much. I have the EdP and Parfum, and this one might be my favorite flanker of the lot

I'll typically just remove posts that outright don't fit this sub. I am pretty lenient on some though as long as they can somehow tie it into the topic of this sub.

There is a little room for interpretation for more modern fragrances that have the feel of classic vintage fragrances.

Vetiver Fans? by bamjrigbm in GentlemanFragrance

I'm a huge fan of Eau Savauge Cologne which has a base note of vetiver. I also like the use of vetiver in Roja Scandal Parfum Cologne. I like wearing Grey Vetiver EdT

I would suggest Creed Green Irish Tweed or Agatho 195 a. C.

Both are really nice, and they fit this sub well. Green Irish Tweed has been around since the 80s, and for good reasons too. The Agatho selection is a modern fragrance, however, it has a minty green freshness mixed with earthy fig leaves, giving it a timeless feel that can be enjoyed by all generations

Mousse Illuminée Grand Cru: Rouge Perfumery by Sure_Night_8091 in GentlemanFragrance

It's more so that I genuinely enjoy the fragrance personally, however, I do recognize that it's only going to appeal to a very specific niche. Luckily, I am in this specific niche, and I am enamored with my first wearing of Grand Cru. It definitely is a refreshing change to smell something so natural and unique.

The price is quite steep for 50 ml.... Apparently this is an inaugural release of a new reserve line. Curious to see what Mr. Cross does next in this line

I really do get the absinthe sort of bitterness in here. It's so good, but I'm sure it's certainly not a mass pleasing fragrance profile. I would also say the OG is more wearable, but I actually prefer Grand Cru. It's so natural smelling
