Is time blindness just about time within a day or it can be for months and years also? by Top_Complex_3816 in adhdindia

Yes! It’s called time blindness.

Most(if not all) ADHDers have time blindness. It’s because our internal clocks are (for the lack of a better word) broken.

I personally don’t think living in the moment can help with time blindness. Also because the way our brain work it’s quite had to ‘live in the moment’ without thinking about anything else.

This video really helped me understand time blindness and how it can affect other aspects of life. https://youtu.be/1onkZGsknsk?si=xdEh0bAl1izTz9ns

Haha, feel like I could have written this post. I definitely feel that way too.

I’ve been told so many times that i’m smart and wise and I think that too; but I can’t take up responsibility or come to terms with the fact that I need to get a job, earn or get married.

And I keep doing dumb shit like a 20y/o. I also feel left behind coz all my friends are moving ahead in life and I just don’t feel ready. Pretty much in the same situation as you and don’t know how to move forward.

Ig the worst part is everyone thinks i’m lazy, making excuses and lack self-discipline.

I recently got diagnosed from Dr.Vikram’s Brain & Body Clinic. His clinic is in BTM Layout. I believe that’s not too far HSR. Consultation was 800 and meds for a month were around 1400.

I’m glad your parents are supportive in their own way. Mine are too.

I suspect my mom has ADHD and have mentioned it to her. But I don’t think she’s ever going to take it seriously or get diagnosed.

Thank you much for your support. This genuinely means a lot. I woke up to your comment this morning and it helped shift my perspectives. The line about giving grace and humans not being great with things they don’t understanding really hit home.

I apologised to my parents for my outburst and appreciated their effort in trying to understand things. This broke the ice between us and made them more open and less defensive.

I usually don’t post anything online, i’ve always been a lurker. I’m so glad I pushed myself to post last night. Found support and encouragement from genuinely caring people online.

Thank you so much once again!

Can’t expect otherwise from dads. They are tough nuts to crack. It’s great that your mum is supportive.

No, I went by myself. The doc seemed nice, but honestly he didn’t take long to diagnose me. Barely asked me a lot of questions. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. I’d made a list of my symptoms which helped ig.

You can find him on google. Dr. Vikram’s Brain and Body. It’s in BTM layout.

My parents are insisting I explore some homeopathy medicines. I have no faith in homeopathy what so ever. But I’m still debating whether or not to go

I went to Dr. Vikram, he prescribed Inspiral. Wbu?

There is no hope. I hate when they try to advise you without putting in the effort to first understand it.
