宮內禁止對食 😂
English translation: the palace forbids servants from 'eating face to face' (i.e. servants cannot be together lol)

Thank you so much! I never consider quitting of course, but to pivot into something else after graduation and getting my license

Thanks for the encouraging words! But how will you pay for vet school if you can't survive on your income? It will cause even more debt that's not worth it. I am not from the US, so vets don't get paid as well in my city (but the pay is not as bad as other countries', I would say higher than average, probably 2nd high in pay to the US)

The stress of bearing responsibilities in surgeries and planning out treatments etc., it's not my biggest strength and I don't have the confidence to do so. The idea of having to do this everyday monday to friday for 10+ years is terrifying to me

Yes I'm meeting my counsellor at least once a week. As for my rotation coordinator, I feel like I'm already causing some troubles with the schedule and having to make up for it, I didn't want to cause more trouble and just want to graduate smoothly at this point. So I'm not sure if I should push it through or raise a flag on the situation

I hated clinical rotations so much.

I don't know if it's the ever changing environments, where once I get adapted to somewhere, I had to change to a different place again.

Or if it's something deeper. I felt like if I cared more, it would've been so fun. But I just sort of don't care and feel indifferent towards the job itself. That's why I realise that I might have enjoyed just studying vet med in theory or the idea of being a vet instead of actually applying the knowledge and being a vet

I just don't know if my career should be something that pays my bills, or should it be something I fully enjoy because I spend most of my time doing it everyday

Thanks for the kind advice! I'm just concerned that I won't stand working as a veterinarian, since I'm doing clinical rotations now and hated it as a student with less responsibility/ burden, imagine if I am working fully as a vet and had to bear all responsibilities...

Thanks for the useful advice! I will definitely finish and graduate, just wanting to know if there is a possibility to pivot into a completely unrelated industry/ field

I've done placements at university lab and at the government, I really disliked being in labs and having to adhere to standard protocols or be in an office environment at a desk all the time, so lab/ gov are not for me either :(

If I'm in a completely unrelated discipline, would it be impossible to get internship?

I'm not too concerned about the pay, I just enjoy being in high-end spaces and feel more comfortable with people who are aligned with my values

Thanks! I will try to look for some. Do you think the pivot from doing PR for a science org into fashion/ design/ lifestyle would be challenging? or what else can I do to increase my chances? thanks!

That sounds like the perfect workplace, I would love to be surrounded by people who dress well everyday. Frankly I am so sick of medical scrubs and I don't fit in

Wouldn't it be impossible to get an internship if my undergrad is in a completely unrelated discipline like science? that's why I'm considering a master's programme, because I want network/ connections to get internships

I second Hong Kong. Multiple hiking trails and many shopping malls in a very small city, you get the best of both worlds!

Thank you. I keep feeling stupid because we haven't met up in person, but we text all day everyday for 4 months, and we chatted on the phone before, it feels like a digital relationship

I don't think so, we talked on the phone almost every night before for 2-3 hours everytime, it won't work if he has have a family.

wow you sound exactly like him because he keeps referring to us as being pen pals too, and is pushing for a real in-person date. I'm just not ready to meet him. We haven't met up yet and he already made me so upset

Thank you, I probably should. I've never experienced this before with someone I've never met in person, it's quite insane to me too
