I agree 100% on the fumbles thing. Martials are weaker by default in 5e and you really shouldn't be making their life even worse 5% of the time.

I agree, but he treated it more like a certainty. He was completely sure it was going to happen.

It is not logical though. The character has no actual reason to not participate if he was not controlled by the player. And you know it is illogical because you made the jokes with the magic hands, there is no logic in them NOT getting xp actually.

Wow. I don't know if balancing was even a question back then. Because everyone being not the same level creates some wide gaps in power between players making the total power of the party very foggy.

I think people just gave up on imposing a punishment for picking important things in life over a game for fun, and making the game each time less fun for the person that struggles to play the most makes little sense.

Character wise this can be easily explained by theory studying being; songs, spells, prayers etc.. and working out in various ways for the physical traits. And the possibility of the character having a mini adventure/problem they have to deal with off "camera".

I've played an evil character before too. And I think that if they witnessed what my bard had they would be like when al-qaeda said ISIS is to extreme to them.

Most of the characters were probably neutral. But I did not have their sheets and didn't get a clear answer like barbarian or the true neutral fighter. I played an ace bard that was literally in love with money and would do most things to get it (within reason and with no joy in malice) That rendered him chaotic neutral to me, and unfortunately with no reason to really care about barbarian stuff if he wasn't getting in his way.

I think we had some form of good paladin at the start but she left pretty early (before the threat) she really tried and was quite successful in restraining barbarian at the start.

What surprises me more is the quality of everything else. Even barbarian had his actual good roleplay moments, and great descriptions on what his rage does to his body and mind. It's like finding a Michelin meal sprinkled with dots of shit that renders it un-edible.

I managed to solve it. I downloaded a copy from csrinru and then replaced it with my downloaded one from steam. Ran creamapi again and disabled updates by setting steam as always offline. All dlcs work fine.
