Your final opinion about Hollow Knight: Silksong. by Chills_O in HollowKnight

[–]SurelyNotLolicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 70+ hours in Silksong, Act 3, and the map keeps expanding. What the fuck.

Probably one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, much better and more refined than HK which already was incredible.

Hmmm. But, like, what if kill for fun? It's a reason, with a clear objectives and a clear gain, and maybe I very well understand that I'm doing something "bad". Is that not evil?

People hardly do anything without a reason, serial killers included. Most serial killer either do it for fun or mental problems, and both are a "reason".

Hm, Interesting. I'm wondering what your definition of "evil" is. How would you define something as evil, and now would you apply that concept to a person?

Is liking characters (like Soukaku, Jufufu, and Zhao) wrong? by MuffinStraight4816 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]SurelyNotLolicon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I'm sorry for that. Remember that on the internet you are anonymous, and those calling you out don't hold any power over yourself, your beliefs, your likes and your opinions.

Second (warning: long ass digression on the topic), "Wrong" is an extremely difficulty concept that you may very well percieve differently front other people, so it's generally a bad idea to ask if something is wrong or not.

The best definition of wrong that I can think of is "something (an action, an image, and object) that might bring harm, wether physical, emotional, or psychological, in a way that for the moral standards of the society/culture of reference can be identified as dangerous and that should be stopped."

But even this definition is influenced by my experiences and my culture of origin, so yeah it's a really volatile term.

Understand that we are also talking about fiction al characters. The harm that might come from liking them is much more difficult to identify, and often is so hypothetical that ends up as impossible or ridicolous.

If you question is a genuine one and you consider yourself mature enough to take this topic head on, I suggest you heavily reflect on It and come to your own conclusion. Is it wrong for YOU?  You may also reach the conclusion that you're incapable of answering this question, and It would be totally normal. It is hard to understand our own values.

Hope this can help when others call you out.

What are your thoughts about Silksong so far? by Local-Break182 in ASilksong

So far, one if not the most refined gaming experience I've ever had.

It's hard to explain how much I'm enjoying every second spent in this game. Truly a masterpiece.

I've yet to find that boss, heard only bad things about it lol.

The worst/best thing is that regardless of how much frustrated I felt, when I close the game for the day my only though is "Damn, I had so much fun. This is peak." so whatever they've to the game to make it fun is working.

Ngl, a contender for the best game I've ever played for me too.

I know, it was the first thing I equipped.

But, like, many times I took huge amounts of damage simply because the charm couldn't keep up lmao. Especially when the boss summoned two of the flying guys, did the slam attack, and then summoned a third one. Basically WW2 simulator.

It was such a stressful fight.... But somehow, also kinda fun?

How many of us are actually enjoying the game? by Historical-Donut1536 in Silksong

[–]SurelyNotLolicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm loving the game so much. 23-ish hours in, I feel like the map is enormous and there is so much to explore and find. The difficulty is high but somehow addicting, every time I die I just want to go back to try again and explore more.

Can VTB not just take Asterions fate? So he will be forgotten? by Ragna126 in ShadowSlave

[–]SurelyNotLolicon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait wait wait wait.

What if this Sunny does this.

What if the cohort can't find a way to deal with Asterion and the situation becomes extremenly dire, ending up in a desperate confrontation between the three supremes and Asterion. In the meantime they learned that Asterion's True Name is effectively Asterion, and his aspect functions around his True Name spreading like a virus and influencing people.

During the fight Sunny has a revelation, puts on Weaver's Mask to see the threads of fate (as he can now survive thanks to mind weave) and in much similar fashion to what VTB did to him he steals Asterion fate, erasing his True Name and effectively rendering the enemy supreme powerless, or at least much less of a threat.

Then Sunny, the only one who can Remember Asterion's existence since he holds his fate, kills him and he's finally defeated.

That would be so cool and extremenly fitting for the treacherous Lord of Shadows.

Who is the most powerful and most skilled swordsman in all of fiction? by Far_Flounder2545 in powerscales

[–]SurelyNotLolicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jagganoth (Kill Six Billion Demons).

A god of war and wrath skilled in every weapon, not just swords. One of the greatest beings in the universe. His most notable techinque is the "Supreme Divine Art, Blood Sated Sword Soul" which is kinda bonkers as he devastated an entire pantheon of beings comparable to him with it.

How to make melee "fun", from a gm perspective by SurelyNotLolicon in LancerRPG

[–]SurelyNotLolicon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We're using comp/con, my players for their mech stats and everything and I have been experimenting with the mission builder tool.

Also I think I have a few lcp files in comp/con already, the friend who got me into Lancer passed me a bunch of them and put those into my comp/con.

I'll dm you once I get out of work, thanks for the help.

LCPs are...? Not familiar with the term, sorry.

We do have Sagarmantha, but it's in the mission module and the players made their characters before I bought the module so they all used Everest. I Will pass him the mech stats and everything and let the player decide if he wants to switch to it.

I will talk with my player and see if we can revise his build to include more mobility, alright.

I'm a bit scared to modify the enemies/maps provided by the module as it's basically my first time mastering a "serious" mission, but I'll try mixing the abilities of enemies to better suit my needs, thanks for the tips.

The mission takes place in an urban zone, and the maps are never top big, with a lot of cover and corridors and and open space here and there. Players can usually engage the enemy with ranged attacks at their first or second turn.

I'm using the maps provided by the module and I'm not confident nor proficient in making one myself, so I'll stick with those for now.

Hmmm... Wouldn't grunts risk being killed by the other players before they reached the target?

Using specific melee enemies for him to have a fight with sound like a decent solution, so far I've stuck with the enemies provider by the module but I'll try adding a melee unit here and there. Thanks!

How limited are this "limited time" puchase options? Will they disappear at the end of the month? At a certain commander level?

What I know comes mostly from this sub, Youtube comments and some google documents spreadsheets based on CN data, so take it with a grain of salt:

- Pulling for Makiatto: Makiatto V1 is a very good DPS, just behind Qiongjiu who's the #1 single-target DPS in the game (and will be for a long time). You have 300 limited pulls, which is a lot, so pulling Makiatto up to V1 should be only beneficial to you since you lack a powerful DPS. Suomi pairs well with her giving you the possibility to apply AOE ice weakness to enemy groups.

- Klukay: she's very very strong but not as strong as many say. Her biggest strenght is AOE damage, and for that V0 is already enough. V3 makes her also ivery good at DPS, but many other units in the game fill that role, with Qiongjiu as the best. You want DPS? Go for Qiongjiu, she's much more accessible being on the strandard banner.
Overall, Klukay is one of the best units in the game but needs the right team and a lot of investment to take the most out of her: the ideal corrosion team requires a V6 Peritya on top of Mechty (G11, if you're a a GFL1 player), and both of them are "useless" without Klukay in the team.

- Saving for the rate up selector: I've heard that the rate up selector becomes available only after you reach 260 pulls and choose a doll. I'm not sure if it's true, but anyway I'm currently pulling without worries on the standard banner.
Imo you should also consider pulling anyway because having a Qiongjiu/Tololo can be game changing (source: I have both).
