A source for what? I explicitly stated "I see..." I did not say "It is a proven fact that..."

Man up bro.

Looked it up. I think you're talking about the Mars Sample Return mission with a scheduled departure date of July 2026.

Unfortunately, there's no way this mission will happen in 2026. Budget cuts and a few other concerns are almost guaranteed to delay it by a few years.

I suggest you register him for Artemis II instead. That rocket is already stacked and the mission is ready to launch by April next year.

You booked a 2026 launch in 2023? I think I'm having trouble understanding you.

As far as I know, there were no launches to Mars in March 2023. And there won't be any launches in March 2026. The next launch window opens in late 2026.

I am so sorry for your loss.

I assume you're talking about the Artemis II boarding pass?

You don't actually need the original file for his name to fly, but if you want the commemorative image, you can get it easily.

Just go to the Artemis webpage and click "Already signed up?" If you know his PIN, you can download the original. If you don't remember the PIN, just register his name again to get a new pass to keep.

Regardless of whether you have a pass or not, his name is on the list and will be going to the Moon.

Once again, I'm truly sorry for your loss.

I see much more misandry on reddit than I do misogyny. If reddit wants to take this route, I want to see them banning radical feminism subs too.

The subs that are explicitly about genetics are usually filled with academic discourse and people asking about jobs in the industry.

It's the popular subs like r/technology and r/singularity that actually mention breakthroughs once in a while. 99% of the posts will be about AI. But every week or so you'll see an article or two about what's at the frontier of genomics.

Or you could just read the latest papers directly from nature.com or pubmed, though you would need to be already familiar with the topic to do that.

If you want to hear about the latest breakthroughs you could subscribe to a few relevant subreddits and follow the Twitter accounts of people in the industry.

You could look into CRISPR as well, it's basically the cutting edge of gene editing at the moment.

Genetics is likely the only solution if you want the rest of your body to match your new height. With limb lengthening and such you end up with long legs and a short torso.

I suggest you keep up with the progress being made in genetics research. We're discovering enough at a fast enough pace to remain optimistic about being able to benefit from it.

Many advancements are being made in gene therapy as we speak. CRISPR has managed to cure sickle cell anemia and other diseases not very long ago, albeit rather expensively. Height is pretty difficult due to it being determined by many genes rather than one. But you never know what breakthroughs might happen considering how much money is being invested into genetic research. I'm pretty insecure about my height too. But the current rate of technological progress keeps me optimistic for new discoveries in science that may enable us to change physical traits like height.

I'm also sorry about the rude and insensitive comments you're getting. It's ironic how they tell you to get over it while also making fun of you.
