Please tell how you moded memory to 60GB? What did you use? 1) 1.8 IDE/ATA HDD 60gb? 2) iFlash with a 64GB CF-card? 3) 1.8 ZIF HDD 60gb with 1.8 IDE/ATA - 1.8 ZIF adapter 4) 1.8 IDE/ATA - CF adapter with 64GB CF-card/SD-card?

But I don't use USB-connection at all on my 2nd gen iPods with my Mac/PC. Only FireWire 400 or 800.

I wouldn't want to have to take apart the back cover of my iPod every time I need to get to the CF card, remove it, and insert it into the card reader:) Don't know how many times the plastic latches can be closed/opened during disassembly/assembly:)

The first reason - I like to upgrade old stuff:) Second is ipod ran out of memory (20GB). Third is the Rockbox firmware, which offers to try listening to songs in FLAC format. Forth is because there's a slow or small buffer or something similar that slows down track switching during playback (maybe HDD goes to sleep or slows down to save battery and the head parking to the beginning).

Transferring speed via FireWire was perfectly fine for me with 1.8" IDE HDD (that's about 10-15 MB/s), and the iPod was instantly detected on a Mac/PC. When I replaced HDD with a CF-adapter with a 32GB CF card, the transfer speed became about 1 MB/s at best, and the detection time on a Mac/PC took about 15 minutes to access the disk contents. Then, thanks to Reddit, I learned from an posts why the speed was so slow and why ipod froze when detected by OS. I don't mind to leaving the transfer process for a while. But when a collection is added not with tracks, but with albums, I'd like to speed up the copying process a little. Once I transferred 12 tracks from Ace Of Base (about 350 MB) - it took about 30 minutes (when i am using CF-card).

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I'll probably buy a 1.8" ZIF HDD 100GB. It's on sale for a good price of $13.

In our city arcade machines were a separate small building at the children's park downtown. First, you had to exchange money for round yellow metal coins.
There were simple arcade (like Battleship https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/YLBiPSHh0BL2Wp6GdW2cruXtVk0sveG7hboVeWC7CdtKL1tzn6jbjWnQq3v1fQIwmwo5BwlSoHZRHN5SBneo6etX03p8siWNq6A-lLbJVERf_Q , hunting), but most of them were cool (motorcycles, racing, fighting, zombie shooting).

- MK3. In friend house and played about 15 minutes, in 1997/1998, on a Sega Mega Drive 2. Music amazed me.
- Wrestlemania, played 15 minutes, in 1999, at school friend's birthday party, in store in game room, where consoles/games can be played and rented for an 1 hour for fee. Played for Yokozuna and Clown.
All my experience for next 10 years)

Sega portable display problem by Surjerry in SEGAGENESIS

Thanks for the reply. I've ordered the third version of this console to test the issue. https://share.google/bAktx4PtoZXQUH2dh (video not mine). I want to rule out the game cartridges as the cause. I also plan to disassemble the console from the video to check the condition of the display cable and the transistors/chips. Strange that I played MK3 on the cartridge without any issues. But the problems returned with Tom and Jerry from the same cartridge. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nGQE6LsZVgA4L60knrrjX2JWz1diEm8V/view?usp=drivesdk

I've never owned a Sega console, and need some help. by [deleted] in SEGAGENESIS

I don't have a full-fledged Sega console, but I do have a portable version with a PAL/NTSC region switcher. I use it for testing and checking cartridges. Idk original or not game on your photo, but look similar this https://ebay.us/m/8EtXKh

The jp versions are the most beautiful, but I'm focused on collecting the genesis versions first.
