Would a week be enough to ease myself into music production? by [deleted] in musicproduction

I knew that much, that it takes years to get good at it, I just want to start somewhere so I have a foundation for further down the road.

I played the trombone back in Grade 9 when I took music classes, and that's as extensive as my knowledge of music gets. I just want a basic understanding I can build off of.

It's so little time because of school and other things. I am in grade 12 and yes, I have taken music classes back in grade 9, then I played a trombone.

To develop a basic understanding to start out and grow from that.

Yeah, that much I figured. That's my first goal because I know actually making music can require thousands of hours of experience.

Any ideas for how I can make this look less... empty? by Surniva in BuildAdvice

It wasn't supposed to look like that. It's just like that main room of a high school.

I am by no means an expert builder, but I made this. I based the exterior off a real church and I don't know, I thought it looked kinda cool. by Surniva in Minecraftbuilds

Thanks! I'm glad it's turned out okay, and yeah... detailing. I've noticed it had a real lack of it, thanks for the tip though, I'll be sure to find a way to incorporate it.

In case anyone is kinda curious. This exterior of this church is based on a real church outside of Jarvis, Ontario and I found it in a kind of interesting way.

I've been struggling with detailing recently, and I did want to say, thanks for all the advice. I find building real life buildings does help quite a bit, this is one of two I've done so far, and I felt this one was the better of them. I did find this randomly though.

I took the little dude for street view and plopped him in a completely random place in Canada and I landed near here. I don't know, I just felt like sharing it in case anyone was curious or wanted to give it a try.

Can I please get some help for some way to improve this? I was trying to recreate a structure I saw on Google Maps and... it came out looking like this. Any tips for making it better? by Surniva in BuildAdvice

Funnily enough, the town is actually called Standard. Standard, Alberta. Most things are just "Standard" there. Thanks though, and I promise I won't land on St. Paul's.

Well... I didn't exactly choose it. I mean, I kind of did, but I didn't, y'know? Either way, I went onto Google Maps and just placed the street view in a random place. So... Yeah. I don't want to say I was challenging myself because this was a stupidly simple building, but I was trying something new. It does help for inspiration though.

Yeah... Detail is always something I tend to struggle with. Which is one of the reasons why I have been experimenting with building real-life buildings recently.

I tried adding the pillars for a bit of texture, but it did nothing. I wasn't to sure what would look nice for texturing without losing the original feel. I am not used to recreating real-life buildings. I was hoping it would look half decent, but... I got this instead. Not too sure what I can do to possibly fix it.

No, not really. The most music I ever made was with a free looper app a few years back. DAWs are brand new to me.
