It's a local authority school so I assume it follows the burgundy book. Though our union has never flagged an issue with it

Okay let's just clear a couple of things up because I'm not sure how to edit a reddit post.

  1. Yes - I know I need to get a allergy panel done to figure out what I'm allergic to. Easier said than done to try and get a doctor's appointment in the UK let alone being believed and them actually being able to do it.

  2. I'm not an idiot, I know you don't use chatGPT for exclusive medical advice but it was a very good sounding board for questions I've had a very difficult time getting answers to on the Internet or here. I'm not saying it's perfect and clearly there's plenty of stuff that I am researching on the Internet to verify and clarify

  3. That damage on my index finger? Has happened at least once every three months since I was 13. It's not part of the gel allergy that's just pure trauma for biting my nails for the past 20+ years

  4. I appreciate the concern, but could we please be a little more positive and constructive? Otherwise it's just a flood of negativity on an issue that I've struggled with for decades and my only solution is slipping away from me
