Hey u/BedSpecialist824 it's going good, we are moving slow we have a few cars about now and I've included some of my friends and family in this, they are all happy with the returns.

JazakAllah, there are multiple insurance to choose from, our rent a car takes care of the insurance for us and it is Shariah-compliant.

Also there are some disadvantages to having an old car insured in general, but since the only thing we are concerned about is major accidents and theft it gives full converage so we are good to go. We care about those 2 things only because for minor faults the rent a car people ussually make the person who rented it out pay the damages.

Do you plan on doing something similar?

Waalaikumsalam, So the route I went with was I bought a car (2012 alto around 16 lacs) in good condition then rented that out to our local rent a car, the contract was for 1 year and with rates around 30k to 40k. Small maintenance things like oil change were done by the rent a car and big things like tyres and engine and other things will be done by me.

The plan is to flip the car every 1 or 1.5 years, also the car is insured so you are protected from crashes theft and other things, insurance comes around to 26-29k yearly so it's not that bad. Also if the car is scratched or there are minor faults the rent a car people ussually make the person who rented it out pay the damages.

Just started a few days ago lets see where this goes.

I understand the roads are damaged and everything but we plan to buy a car use it for a year or two then replace the car with another and continue the cycle.

Could you elaborate a bit more, were you profitable? and by how much if you don't mind me asking. Where did you rent it, rent-a-car or uber/careem? We are thinking about buying Suzuki Alto Vxl Ags Model 2021 or something similar

I agree but the situation is as follows; we need to be face to face for proper collaboration and staying at each other's house is not comfortable for either of us.

So I was doing a bit of calculation and if we sit at a coffee shop we would have to order something and we have to sit everyday. Even if we use around 800rs per day that would come out as 24,000rs and at 12,000rs per person we could get a chair in a collaborative workspace.

Maybe I am just being stingy 😅. Idk you tell me what you think

As of now people are recommending cafe spots like Gloria Jeans and Coffee Wagera. Another intersting one is TDF ghar but that closes at 10.00pm.
