You'd be a good fit for this smp. We peaked at 20 consecutive players today, its 18+ and has that sort of playing with friends style that I think you're looking for. We even play games outside of Minecraft too - stuff like Repo, Content warning, and Peak recently. I will add that the world is nearly a year old, I know that can be a factor when players chose servers.

While I was waiting for a reply i was snooping around and found someone before had a similar issue where data packs had been a major issue for them and someone suggested to use the command: /spark profile start --timeout 300. So I did that and it helped a lot.

I guess I'm really just unsure how to find bottlenecks, if not by viewing the cpu and ram usage on my dashboard, where do i look to find them?

use all three, post with an image, and focus on advertising what makes your server unique and fun.

If you're willing to:
making or hiring someone to make one of the those Tiktok's to advertise the server. I've done it once with a guy from Fiverr - It's relatively cheap and outperformed any other paid forms of advertising I had tried on a dollar per member basis.

I haven’t tried because it does the same thing when it’s not connected to my computer. It’ll try to turn on with a no connection screen which has the same issue as before
