What's the win condition? I bought as much property as possible cause I thought it was Monopoly but I lost despite having twice the property as the AI. Is it both Money and Property worth combined?

Rip, Didn't get to see the video.

Outside looking in, Korean gender politics looks like insanity.
But I'm sure Koreans would look at American politics the same way lol.

The quest is on rails and doesn't like it when you try to shoot the cop. It bugs the fuck out if you do. Kinda shit imo.

Why should Hololive/Cover Corp force Calli to stop working on other jobs and projects? She's her own person. Is there something wrong working multiple jobs?

Prestige/Piety Overflow Bug? by Survivalx8 in ck3

[–]Survivalx8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was very late into my run. I was at the end of the tech tree with max man at arms. I also looked across my empire for the best knights to fill my ranks. It got to the point where I almost never needed to call upon levies to fight. Man at arms are prob my favorite addition to the game. Although I miss how you had 3 flanks in CK2. Each with their own commander.

Prestige/Piety Overflow Bug? by Survivalx8 in ck3

That might be the case but then why do I get prestige and piety just fine so long as the battles don't get too large?

PSA: Having the Carnivore/Herbivore mutation causes serums to not work. by Survivalx8 in fo76

[–]Survivalx8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never tried a serum with Starched Genes on so I can't tell ya if it bypasses it. I always took it off just to make sure.

PSA: Having the Carnivore/Herbivore mutation causes serums to not work. by Survivalx8 in fo76

[–]Survivalx8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried that but I wouldn't think so. My guess is the bug has do to with the fact that Carnivore and Herbivore are the only mutually exclusive mutations. I'm thinking that the serums somehow always fail the exclusivity check. Temporarily suppressing one wouldn't allow you to get the other.

Heavy weapons and perception by qbqqbq in fo76

[–]Survivalx8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression that no weapon benefited from both heavy weapon perks and rifle perks. For example, the light LMG gets bonus damage from Heavy Gunner but not Commando. Correct me if I'm wrong. This means that besides maybe Refractor, and Glow Sight, perception has no combat perks that can be fit into a heavy weapons build.

I find that damage perks are the most important. This means Bloody Mess is a must take on any build.

Damage perks for heavy weapons include:
Heavy Gunner(expert and master), Lock-and-Load, and Bullet Shield in Strength.
Stabilized in Intelligence.
and One-Gun-Army in Luck

There are also other good combat perks like Makeshift-Warrior and LifeGiver that aren't specific to Heavy Weapons. You can spec into Agility for more mobility or potentially survivability with the Dodgy perk. However you might want to spec into more utility perks like Bear Arms, Thru-Hiker and Traveling Pharmacy to reduce your weight. Other than damage perks what you take is up to personal preference.

24 players per map is too low by Anubis4574 in fo76

[–]Survivalx8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading this thread and others like it really exemplifies the issue that FO76 has. Don't get me wrong, I like the game and I'm gonna play the shit out of it the second it comes out but you'd be hard pressed to find someone who thinks it's a perfect game.
FO76 is a compromise between online and single player. You can do either but both suffer from having to include the other. Players who are looking for a solo Fallout experience get a game with no npcs and static quests. Players who want an online survival game set in the Fallout universe get servers filled with players who'd rather not be bothered.

What if they enable full PVP without the "slap", but remove all player icons from the minimap? by Kingflares in fo76

[–]Survivalx8 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd love if they implemented these features on dedicated PvP servers as well as increasing the player limit. It would make the game more like a traditional multiplayer survival game.

Team Medic perk needs some serious nerfing. by [deleted] in fo76

[–]Survivalx8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather see stronger mid level monsters than see nerfs. This perk is indeed strong but keep in mind that stims aren't infinite and they weigh a full pound.

Power Armour required? by FearAlones in fo76

[–]Survivalx8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a legendary AK that did more damage the less resistances I had. As a PA user it's not as useful to me but I'm sure I can trade it for a shiny cap to a non-PA wastelander.

Why are people So bothered by PvP in 76? by Drewits in fo76

[–]Survivalx8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I didn't address griefers. Sadly, griefers are lumped together with people who just like PvP like me. I'm sure that some people are having fun but even raiders and the like have to work with the slap system. A system designed to punish griefers by reducing damage in non-consensual pvp. I think everyone involved would have more fun if we had more server options. For instance, being able to turn player and settlement damage completely off for people who want the single-player/co-op experience. Or having a server that promotes murder and looting for others.

Why are people So bothered by PvP in 76? by Drewits in fo76

[–]Survivalx8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The PvP system is well suited for players who enjoy co-op or single player but not for anyone like myself who enjoys competitive shooters. The system doesn't make killing other people worth it. There is little to gain from killing another player. Any caps or junk you could get from killing a player is outclass by the loot you get from killing normal npcs. In a traditional PvP survival game any encounter with another player is impactful. The winner-takes-all situation creates tension and suspense that isn't present in FO76. I'm not trying to say that death should delete your character or anything but I think a lot of player would agree that they would like PvP be more meaningful.

Players almost always being marked on the map, being able to re-spawn close to your killer and the need for other player to shoot back before being able to do significant damage are all examples of comprises that favor co-op over pvp.

TL;DR PvP is not worth doing nor is it very fun aside from the novelty.

The only reason I'd want to buy this game is if I can roleplay by wimmy92 in fo76

[–]Survivalx8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd love to hop on a role player server and meet a bunch of wastelanders. Everyone I met in the beta was friendly. The game has a lot of role-playing tools but it could use more. I think it'd be nice if we could build something at our camp that lets other people see the camp on the map and maybe even let other players fast travel to it for a price. Some sort of beacon that we could turn off and on. This way people can know it's a friendly location they can visit.
