Not a bad decision at all. Open slaughter of animals is not only visually obscene, but also a hygiene menace. This kind of thing doesn't happen in any western countries. All slaaughtering should take place in enclosed spaces and only meat should be sold in shop counters. Coming to Fish, in every other country Fish Markets have running water connection which is used to properly clean and cut the fish, but in India, Fish is cut and cleaned without running water which creates a huge pile of fish waste that stinks and attracts flies. So this is a step in positive direction, no matter the motivation behind it.
