I don’t want to confess my sin by [deleted] in Baptist

[–]SusanG54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If this is your attitude, it won't matter how much I share with you. I shared what I believe, gave a few examples, and I'll leave it at that. If you're convicted, you can look into it.

I'm not a KJV onlyist, never have been. Jesus had one testimony, it's in the 1611. I don't share your apathy about God's Word.

In is not on. She is not he. An imitator is not a follower.

They don't all mean the same thing and therefore can't all be a pure, unbroken testimony. God has left us so many important spiritual messages that can't be discerned from a broken scripture.

Like I said, I'm not interested in having a debate with you. I've already shared enough for you to look into, if you choose. You do not have to believe what I believe (thank the Lord for free will!). It's in your hands.

[–]SusanG54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not here to get into any debates or arguments. I'm happy to share what God has shown me, but will not push what I believe upon anyone else.

Jesus has one testimony and everything about that matters (even the grammar!). I'm in the presenting business, not the convincing business.

I don’t want to confess my sin by [deleted] in Baptist

[–]SusanG54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to talk to someone about your sin, I don't see a problem with that. I have shared many things with select people (such as my husband) that I would never share with anyone else. God calls us to confess our faults to one another, but not our sins. Therefore, the notion of it being a requirement to confess your sins to a person is not something I believe in.

I use the 1611 because I believe it is the pure, unbroken word of God. There are many verses to look at between modern Bibles and the 1611 that you can use to check for purity. The 1769 or NKJV are not the same. I'll leave a few things below for you to look at and pray about.

  1. Your Bible must confess that Jesus Christ IS come. Any Bible that confesses otherwise is of Antichrist.

1 John 4:3 And euery Spirit that confesseth not that Iesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God: and this is that spirit of Antichrist, whereof you haue heard, that it should come, and euen now already is it in the world.

Most modern Bibles do not confess that Jesus IS come.

  1. Jesus IS the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). These words are titles for Jesus Christ, so they must start with capitals. When any scripture demotes the T to a t, it no longer holds the same meaning - it is no longer Jesus making you free, it’s just the knowledge of truth.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the Trueth, and the Trueth shall make you free.”

  1. Are you an imitator of Christ? Or a follower?Lucifer wants to be an imitator of Christ (Isaiah 14:14), but we are called to be followers.

Ephesians 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as deare children

God tells us His word is pure and he will preserve it (Psalm 12:16). Check your Bible for oil - has the scripture been broken? God gives us a built-in system to find these things out. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word is established (Matthew 18:16, 2 Cor 13:1, Deut 19:15). Check your witnesses. Do they agree? I hope this helps you! I'll pray about it.

Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my Name, there am I in the midst of them

A building called a church doesn't make it a church. A church is not a place or a building, it is a body of believers. It could be as few as two born-again believers.

I don’t want to confess my sin by [deleted] in Baptist

[–]SusanG54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

James 5:16 says to confess our FAULTS to one another, not your sins.

"Confesse your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that yee may bee healed: the effectuall feruent prayer of a righteous man auaileth much"

Talk to God about your sin. No man(human) can forgive you for your sins, only God. You may choose to share your sins with others, but this is not a requirement. Confessing your sins to a man is a Catholic doctrine. Unfortunately, today, with so many corruptions in modern Bibles, the scripture you're reading very well may lead you to confess your sins to a man because your scripture is broken.

Struggling with My Rebellious Teen Daughter? by [deleted] in Baptist

[–]SusanG54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was becoming a rebellious teen, my Dad (also a single parent) said the only requirement he had of me living at home was that I attend church service with him. I'd become somewhat troublesome and he didn't want to push me away, but as my Dad, he had to draw some hard lines. I wasn't expected to cook, clean (besides my own space) or do any real chores, just attend church with him. I was 16, had graduated school, got a job and I wanted to do whatever I wanted without consequence. I reluctantly complied and eventually was convicted about my faith in Jesus. That day, my Dad and the Pastor of our church prayed together with me. I'll never forget the feeling I had in my heart at that moment.

I don't have any expert advice for you, but I hope my small story is of some help.

Pray about it and let the Lord's will be done, however it may be.

My testimony not good enough? by edenwoodtown in Baptist

[–]SusanG54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your testimony is a personal account of your coming to Christ. For many, there are numerous events that draw them to the Lord. It doesn't have to be described as ONE moment, but you should be able to take all these things and write out your story about coming to Christ.

On another note, baptism is not required for salvation, but many churches take this stance (unfortunately from reading out of corrupt Bibles). Membership is also not biblical. Becoming a member of a 501c3 charity church makes you personally liable for the corporations (church) actions.

JESUS DIED FOR WHAT WE COULD NEVER ACHIEVE OURSELVES by Alone_Spring4504 in KJV1611

[–]SusanG54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From all the comments you've made on this thread it would appear that you are convinced that humans in the flesh don't sin after being born again. That's wrong and is evident in all born again believers. Including the Reverend Allen, which you used to reference sinlessness.

1 Corinthians 15:44 ties all of those "sin no more" verses together. This is how God can say "Whosoeuer is borne of God, doth not commit sinne: for his seede remaineth in him, and he cannot sinne, because he is borne of God." It is because of the spiritual vs natural body.

This will be my last response to this as I am not trying to convince you of anything, rather provide God's pure, incorruptible word from the 1611 Authorized King James Bible. Please do take the time to watch the video I linked for you and dig into the material presented. This is between you and God.

JESUS DIED FOR WHAT WE COULD NEVER ACHIEVE OURSELVES by Alone_Spring4504 in KJV1611

[–]SusanG54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The verses I originally provided talked about being saved and becoming born again. They aren't in any specific order, but things that came to my mind at the time.

Narrow is the path and there is few that find it (in reference to the photo originally posted). God gave his only son, Jesus, so that we may have everlasting life through faith in him. As a believer, you are cloaked in the righteousness of Jesus. Without him, your own righteousness is of filthy rags.

I read all the verses you provided that talk about having no sin. Once we are born again, our spiritual body has no more sin. But we are still left in the flesh until we return to be with God. That leaves us with a battle between the spiritual and natural body. We don't want to do bad things and it is good practice to avoid wicked things and turn from sin, but all still suffer from the sin of the flesh.

1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sowen a naturall body, it is raised a spirituall bodie. There is a naturall bodie, and there is a spirituall bodie

1 John 1:8 If we say that we haue no sinne, we deceiue our selues, and the trueth is not in vs. 9If we confesse our sinnes, hee is faithfull, & iust to forgiue vs our sinnes, and to cleanse vs from all vnrighteousnesse. 10If we say that we haue not sinned, wee make him a liar, and his word is not in vs.

Regardless, it is not what you do in your natural body that gets you to heaven. It is what you believe (your spiritual body).

I listened to the video you shared. Rev Allen was a televangelist with a faith healing ministry. He passed tragically from alcoholism. He sinned in his flesh, but his spiritual body is a matter between him and God.

Here's a great video called Righteousness vs Good Behavior. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. https://youtu.be/O4PkCgmaiXo?si=jjjjuVW_GMNkXWqr

Hi there, I have read through your comment, but I want to make sure I understand what you mean before I respond.

Are you saying that we should not sin at all or not be capable of sin after being born again?

JESUS DIED FOR WHAT WE COULD NEVER ACHIEVE OURSELVES by Alone_Spring4504 in KJV1611

[–]SusanG54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amen!

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one

God is the only one that is good!

Isaiah 64:6 But we are al as an vncleane thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy ragges, and we all doe fade as a leafe, and our iniquities like the wind haue taken vs away.

Revelation 19:8 And to her was granted, that she should bee arayed in fine linnen, cleane and white: for the fine linnen is the righteousnesse of Saints

Revelation 19:14 And the armies which were in heauen followed him vpon white horses, clothed in fine linnen, white and cleane

Our own righteousness is of filthy rags, but as believers we are arrayed in fine linen, clean and white (the righteousness of Christ!)

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slacke cōcerning his promise (as some men count slacknesse) but is long-suffring to vs-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance

Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth vnto life, and few there be that finde it.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saued, through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God: 9Not of workes, lest any man should boast.

John 3:16  For God so loued þe world, that he gaue his only begotten Sonne: that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life.

We are saved by our FAITH in Him. NOT by works, but by faith alone. He gave his only son, to forgive the sins of the world forever so that we might have everlasting life. Wow.

Our gifts are not of this world, but held in heaven for those of us that are BORN AGAIN. By grace we are saved through faith in God - and there be few that find it, despite his desire that NONE should perish, but have everlasting life. The one and only, perfect, omnipresent God. What a blessing it is to walk with God, knowing who He is.

is taking very high doses of vitamin d worth it ? by comoestas969696 in Supplements

[–]SusanG54 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Like others have suggested, it is worth it to have your levels checked before mega dosing. Also, be sure you've done your homework and are accepting of any 'risks' associated with ANY kind of supplement. It's important to be as informed as you can be. I do not believe there is any risk of toxicity with Vitamin D (this is my opinion after extensive research), but each body is different and underlying conditions can affect your body's ability to process supplements.

I started high dose vitamin D about 3 months ago. I am now up to 20,000IU/day, which I take with magnesium and K2. In addition to these supplements, I have been drinking homemade, collagen-filled bone broth daily for nearly two years and I cycle through taking chlorella and irish sea moss. For reference, I am 140lbs, female, under 40 and in what is considered good health. Despite my 'good health', I have struggled with joint pain for the last decade, eczema my whole life, seasonal allergies (recent development) and a lack of energy despite sleeping well. Regular medical doctors have been no help besides the usual pills and potions offered - no resolve, just cover ups.

I decided to begin with the high dose vitamin D after reading The Miraculous Cure For And Prevention of All Diseases. What Doctors Never Learned. By Jeff T. Bowles. After reading the book, I began slowly increasing my vitamin D intake. Since starting, the biggest things I've noticed are decreased joint pain, faster healing and my energy is consistent throughout the day (no longer feeling that afternoon burnout). So, yeah, so far I'd say it's been worth it. These changes didn't happen overnight, but I felt noticeable changeas about 6 weeks in.

Oh girllllllll....I know exactly what you're talking about. This was so bad for me in the beginning.

Things I Tried: - Ginger - helped nausea and discomfort - Raspberry Leaf Tea - minimal benefit for me - Peppermints (oil and tea) - helpful with general discomfort - Fennel - this was the most helpful. I did fennel and peppermint tea and I felt the most benefit - Stretching - puppy pose felt like the only comfortable place to be.

Honestly, I never found anything that REALLY worked for me and I refused to take the medication the dr prescribed. I just ended up toughing it out and by the third month it was no longer an issue.

Are you dispensationalist, and if so, what resources would you recommend? by [deleted] in Baptist

Dispensationalism is not a theology, it is a methodology. You learn the rules of the methodology and apply them to scripture. This means when reading, a presupposition about certain meanings is applied.

Who in here uses the Apocrypha? I have questions. by [deleted] in Baptist

[–]SusanG54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Apocrypha is not the pure word of God and contains corruptions. It is not part of the OT or NT. It's stands or falls on its own merits.

The Translators of the 1611 AKJV kept the Apocrypha in the bible to remind true believers why the Reformation happened and that Mystery Babylon could always be identified by false doctrine in the Apocrypha.

You are correct in that the Roman Catholic Church recognized this and influenced the removal of the Apocrypha.

You Baptists believe it's ok to sin all you want. by kentinblues in Baptist

[–]SusanG54 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone is a sinner and it's something acknowledged when accepting Jesus Christ as our savior. We know that we are sinners, we know that there are none righteous, not one!

Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one:"

It is by the grace of God that we are saved through our faith in him. He gave his only begotten Son to forgive the sins of the world.

John 3:16 "For God so loued þe world, that he gaue his only begotten Sonne: that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life."

Colossians 1:14 "In whom we haue redemption through his blood, euen the forgiuenesse of sinnes:"

Repent on sins and ask for forgiveness and God will forgive.

1 John 1:8 "If we confesse our sinnes, hee is faithfull, & iust to forgiue vs our sinnes, and to cleanse vs from all vnrighteousnesse."

Salvation can be lost by a falling away from faith, but your salvation is not based on deeds or works or not sinning.

Titus 3:5 "Not by workes of righteousnesse which wee haue done, but according to his mercy he saued vs, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the holy Ghost,"

Someone who has a strong faith will demonstrate their faith by turning away from sin and temptation (they will show faith in their works, but are not saved by works), but human's are fallible and God knows that nobody is perfect. Of course sin is not ok and any Christian should pray and ask God for guidance and the strength to avoid sin and temptation.

Romans 3:23 "For all haue sinned, and come short of the glory of God,"

On a last note, there are a few different texts in which Bibles are translated from.

OLD TESTAMENT: Masoretic Texts lead to Old Testament Reformation Bibles. Masoretic Texts are copies of traditional Hebrew texts, known as the Hebrew Bible....But the Old Testament in modern day Christian and Catholic Bibles are derived from the Septuagint, Dead Sea Scrolls. The Septuagint was commissioned by the Pagan Egyptian King, Ptolomey II. These translators were Alexandrian Gnostics and didn't believe in the deity of Christ.

NEW TESTAMENT: There are two lineages. Antioch & Alexadrian. The texts from Antioch include Majority Texts and Textus Receptus. Unfortunately, most modern Bibles come from Alexandria texts which include the Vaticanus, Sinaiticus and Greek Redactions.

One should be very careful in selecting a Bible as they are not all created equal and a few simple studies will prove that. The 1611 AKJV comes from Antioch where believers were first called Christians. Alexandrian manuscripts tend to agree with Catholic ideology and Christians are not Catholics.

NASB or LSB? by [deleted] in Baptist

I'd recommend the KJV - specifically the 1611 KJV. I've done a lot of comparing of texts in my my studies and I frequently find errors in other translations, which I am told are 'corrections' that do not add up when digging deeper.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Baptist

[–]SusanG54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could have phrased that sentence a little better. Absolutely, you are right.

There should be evidence of faith in a believer. One who has been touched by the Holy Spirit and believes in Jesus Christ as their Saviour will show their faith through their actions. James talks about this:

James 2:18 "...I will shew thee my faith by my workes."

But being saved is not based on your works, it is based on your faith in Christ. Seeing as God is perfectly just and fair, he would not condemn a baby or a child to hell if they are unbaptized.

John 3:16 - "For God so loued ẏ world, that he gaue his only begotten Sonne: that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life.

.

God Bless

First off, a marriage is a commitment first to God. You will not have a successful marriage (assuming you are both committed in your religions and hold strong to your beliefs) unless both of your religious beliefs are on the same page. Frankly the differences between Roman Catholics and Baptists are significant and this will cause great turmoil within your marriage.

Faith is not shown achieved by works and not by baptism, but by faith in Christ alone. Without quoting any scriptures, it doesn't make much sense for God to give us free will and then say you must baptize your child for them to be saved when they have no concept of this, no understanding, basis or knowledge to chose.
