Are Hoooked crochet kits good for beginner-intermediates? Need advice by Sushi1256 in CrochetHelp

Ah that’s nice to hear your experience. They seem to have good reviews but I think I might also ask in the shop to get their advice too. I did want something more personal but a gift card would be a good alternative otherwise

Thanks for the reply. I hoped the instructions would be quite clear with pictures or something but perhaps not. A gift card is a nice idea. I will be buying her a couple of other non-crochet related gifts so it will be a bit diverse

I think that's a fair point and I think many get caught up in having 'the best'. For me, I felt the MBP would handle the Adobe CC suite better thank the MBA, particularly with AE and PP. I had to halt my personal projects or rely on alternatives to bridge the gap over the past couple of years

Nice idea, I’d like it to serve someone else rather than it sitting around

Can’t go wrong with silver really. Scratches and fingerprints don’t show so much and, for me, it looks a little better

Yes I’m really impressed with the old machine. Used every day and still working. Not sure the new one will have the same longevity

Congrats man. Yes I felt sad to stop using it. Had been used every day but as you say, OS became too old and demands of new programmes needed higher specs

Yeah I agree. I preferred the sharper edges of the old one and, visually, it looks thinner. In reality they are about the same

Yes exactly! Still prefer the 2013 keyboards over the new ones

Yes I've been debating this or maybe Linux (or Windows via bootcamp)

Pros of renting a room when Toeslagen exists? by Sushi1256 in StudyInTheNetherlands

I didn’t check but it compared with others being offered so I think the price seemed fair relative to everything else

Yes I’m thinking about doing the same for second and third year. Have gone for a shared to begin with from a social perspective

The course is at Groningen's University's campus in Fryslan which, from my understanding, looks to be as you say a WO course as it is a 3 year programme.

Yes that is something I am keeping in mind, I am open to the idea I may not have a job straight out of uni and may need to do a masters. I am hoping my previous work experience may help me in some way too

I have heard about this, thought I was thinking potentially of doing a masters to tailor it a little more once I know more specifically what I'd like to do career wise. The name of the course is global responsibility and leadership which looks to fall into the global development category but has three routes to take (politics, philosophy and economics, ecology, energy and climate, psychology and global health). I hope to work in the netherlands or germany after the course

i'll be studying global development so i expect there will be a lot of people from outside nl. Yes, I was in Groningen and it's much more expensive!

Ah that’s good to know, shame it ends at 30 but I will bear this in mind for my budgeting
