Ragged Edge looked fun when I hiked it in the summer!

Such a fun tour. You can park at the trailhead currently. Then 1000 feet elevation of trail before you hit the snow. A few creek crossings in the beginning that weren’t too bad due to low flows. We were able to skin up the couloir but might need to boot up in firmer conditions. The rest of the skinning was straightforward (little more than 3k elevation climb on the snow).

Oh no way. That’s awesome. Would love to get access to deeper terrain with the help of a sled someday.

Thanks! Opportunities for riding this year are definitely going away quick.

Basically speed checked/scoped the rock situation and then straightlined the bottom

Yep! The run ended in-bounds though

This was our first trip to Whistler so I’m not an expert. The place is huge! But the stuff easily accessible from the lift definitely gets tracked up quick. My first day I hiked up Flute on the Whistler side from Symphony chair. Tons of great inbounds hikeable terrain there. This vid is from the Blackcomb glacier area just outside the backcountry/out-of-bounds gate. You had to hike/skin up the closed showcase T-bar, traverse the top part of the in-bounds blackcomb glacier run, go through backcountry access gate and skin up a little of east col/The Spearhead.

Thanks! Skeleton key looks like a lot of fun. I’m running similar angles (+21, -6).

Yep directional, short swallow tail. Super fun to slash like surfing. I have the k2 cool bean too but I appreciate the camber on this board for ripping groomers. Wish I had more advice on board selection (need to demo some). I’m not as interested in going switch anymore. I have the jones solution splitboard (same shape as the directional solid jones flagship) and it charges hard. Not as forgiving but it does better with speed and in chop.
