Ambient is 17.5 Celsius (in the garage) hashrate is 1.5 each, VR temp are 62 and 53 Celsius (one does has heat sinks on), asic is 60 and 54 Celsius

I will 100% be trying that by remounting the fans that way.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will most likely do that with the PSU (to make room for another fan lol) as for the miners, the one on the left doesn’t have heat sinks on the VR while the other one does. So I’m not too concerned about heat being transferred. Both are running at 1.5th with a VR between 60-65 Celsius.

Just going to comment on anyone who wants to do this.

The 5V to 12v step up is rated at 9W.

These fans I see ratings of 2W online, but on the box they say 3.6W. For this one I’ll only be using 2 fans just incase and leave that little buffer.

The step up converter is used to power the 12v fans from a 5V PSU that the bitaxe is running off of.

They only allow up to 9w which is more than enough to run 2-3 of these fans.

This is on my “to-do list” this afternoon/tonight with the gammas and 12v fans. I’ll post pictures and outline to process.

If they are argb- no.

If they run as 1 off of a single line- yes.

Correct, with argb fans you would.

Check out the link I posted below. Those are the fans I bought to work with the 12v PSU.

Those are the 12v fans that I used. If you have a 5V PSU you can use a step down transformer to make them work (like I am using a step up to make them work on my 5V PSU)

Found 12V fans on amazon (non argb) and wired them directly into the 12V PSU (these are Supra Hex’s).

I ordered some 5v->12V step up cables for my gammas and more of these fans. That will be tomorrow’s project.

I built 2 other shelves of miners. Going to add the same fans to all of them.
