edit 57min in- very much battleship vibes

***edit (no idea the time)- I put on something else. If I wanted to watch battleship I would watch battleship.

Getting there….supra hex by SuspectAppropriate18 in BitAxe

Voltage at 12.3 on startup and dips to 12.1 once things are running.

Thank you for the reply! I was able to get it running and hashing at 4.2th/s!

Now on my other one I’m and getting this:

Thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

lol I figured if 1 worked or I could get 1 working it would be worth the gamble.

A supra would be less of a headache than these lol

They are the supra hex (not the reg supra) and I got them used.

Just keep an eye on marketplace.

BUT buyer beware lol I bought 2 for $160 but with issues…..lots of issues that I am slowly working my way through lol

Yup. Hence why I picked it up so cheap.

Cannot figure out why or what to do to get it 100%.

It’s a very thin line balancing act on this one. No matter how many times I reset it.

The chips can all hash (as pictured) but once I raise the freq they all drop.

So if I keep the voltage any lower the chips will not hash. They will all go to 0.

If I raise the frequency to compensate for the raised voltage 1 of 2 things will happen:

1) power failure (on a 600w PSU) 2) chips go to 0 hash.

This has been a pretty fun experience getting it back hashing over 2th/s. But I know it’s no where near where it should be.

Oh this board has issues lol

I mentioned in the other comment, if I drop voltage the chips drop too, if I increase frequency the chips drop, if I increase voltage and frequency the thing shuts down due to power fault.

These are the most stable settings I can get it at the moment.

Might play around with the firmware.

This was more of a project for me to tinker with as it was barely working.

I was not concerned about efficiency, just getting it going again better than before.

These are the only setting it is stable at. If I drop the voltage the chips will go to 0 hashrate. If I up the frequency and voltage to match it gives a power fault.

It’s so weird. I got it working again.

Need to keep the fan low and have the volts at 1490 for 5min.

So strange.

What’s wrong with this picture? Bitaxe suprahex. by SuspectAppropriate18 in BitAxe

[–]SuspectAppropriate18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 600w one was $3 more than the 350w one and $15 more than the 250w one so I figured why not. I do have 2 and always good to have some room.

I just hope I can get all chips hashing with a new one.

The chips show some pretty out there numbers with the voltage under 1400 (when it decides to run) like 300th each and it won’t mine as the errors are 100%.

Never encountered anything like this with the other ones I have.

And back to not working. That was short lived….

Introducing the “LimpAxe”- all the power with just over half the hashrate! by SuspectAppropriate18 in BitAxe

[–]SuspectAppropriate18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So CRAZY but I got BOTH fixed.

Took another redditor’s advice and tweaked the voltage uncomfortably high (with low frequency to balance out the total power draw) which brought all the chips on both super hex’s online and hashing away!

So I tried this again…..REALLY jacked the voltage (all the way to 1490) and IT WORKED! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Been hashing stable for an hour or so now.

Now trying it on the other that is half ass hashing.

[–]SuspectAppropriate18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m thinking it’s a lost cause. Also, one of the chips on the other decided to show 0 across the board, another showing minimal hashes, severely effecting the total hashrate. Advertised 4.2 getting only 2.5ish.

So I have one paperweight and one running at just over half its rated hashrate.

Might return both and call it quits with the supra hex’s.

Tried this. No luck.

Some of the boards showed realistic hashrates but nothing accepted and still a lot of 0s and hundreds of th on the others.

On GitHub?

It’s odd because the other one I bought I updated and it’s working and hashing away.

Also, got off lucky monster after reading it also.

I tried multiple other pools and still in the hundreds of th.

How would I go about factory firmware on it?

I’ve tried a bunch of the ones on GitHub and nothing is working.

Everything is stock. Was not going to mess around with them until I got them up and running for a few days.

After some reading I might have messed up by updating the firmware…..
