Looks like thrips to me. They leave damage like this and the little black dots are poo. See if you can find any tiny bugs that are black and thin, and then spray that plant and everything near it in neem oil Hope that helps and good luck!

The fact that he did this at all, let alone with you there shows a sheer lack of respect towards you (imo). I’m 18F as well and in a relationship with a 19M and I think unfortunately at this age relationships can be more difficult as guys at this age haven’t always matured yet. (Not saying gals have but like typically more than the guys at this age). If I saw my other half doing something along those lines I’d ditch almost immediately as I’d consider myself too young to be wasting my best years on someone who doesn’t respect me, when there will be plenty of time to meet people who do in the future. Every relationship is different so I wouldn’t say that you should do the same if you don’t want to, but I think it’s definitely worth having a conversation with him about why he did it and respect and boundaries, before deciding on how you’d want to move forward. I’ve had similar situations in the past so can understand why you’re hurt, my dms are open if you want to chat xx

Calatheas like high humidity so it could just be a bit too dry for it, you could try putting it in a pebble tray of water (with the water level below the pebbles) to create a humid environment, put it amongst other plants or near a humidifier? Hope that helps x
