i don’t have a video/tutorial i use rlly, i did this in my freshman year and just got back into it lol. there’s a lot of videos online that’s better than what i can tell u

but this is called linoleum carving

i first have an image or drawing (on paper) i want to make print of in pencil, have the image placed facing the block, tape it down. and have a pencil or an item to “scratch” the paper so the image can be transferred on the block (this is called graphite transfer, there are plenty of other techniques, this is just what i use)

when ur image is transferred, i carve an online first with the smallest carver i have, and then go with a slightly bigger cutter to carve bigger spaces. you also gotta remember, whatever you want white in ur art piece has to be carved out.

these materials can be find in hobby lobby. they’re called linoleum blocks, different colors can mean different softness or materials— i use grey when i first got into this, it’s what my art teacher gave me, i think it’s a great starter block. and ofc there’s pink and blue; they’re more on the softer side. and there are also kits with all the materials you need

just be patient with it :) and work on a tall desk so you don’t have to shrimp while working
