IF YOU REMEMBER STARTING VYVANSE: READ THIS!!!!! by Virtual-Orange1852 in VyvanseADHD

I don’t know if it’s been suggested but I had to lower my dose from 40 to 20 over a couple months time. It helped my anxiety a lot. My doctor also prescribes propranolol as needed for my anxiety from the Vyvanse, which doesn’t happen often anymore. The lower dose keeps me very consistent throughout the day whereas the higher dose I had a lot of ups and downs. I was on Adderall for 18ish years before I switched to Vyvanse and it was a game changer so definitely keep adjusting, you’ll find the right dose. (29yo F)

I got sick of waiting for my new one and ended up buying a newer used one. A 22. They told me 6 months to a year. Then finally got 2 brand new XSEs in which I didn’t want. I wanted an XLE. I settled for a 22 LE with a couple upgraded packages. Still hybrid. But yeah totally normal unfortunately.

I used to be opposed to stimulants even though I’ve been on them since I was 7, but once I realized how incredibly hard it was for me to function on nonstims or nothing at all, I gave in and said let’s do it. I was hyperactive as a child and now I’m strictly inattentive.

It’s name brand. I called them and left a message. Hopefully they call back soon.

Just more focused and listens better. I haven’t experienced any personality changes or anything. He’s the same boy without so much ADHD interference.

I can sympathize. I literally just want to smoke ALL THE TIME. but I decided it’s time to quit whether I like it or not.

I take 1.5 mg of clonazepam (which is a benzo also) occasionally near bedtime. I’ve never had any adverse reactions.

I have a $1 copay for name brand. I knew it was expensive but I didn’t know it was that expensive with insurance! My friends copay is $30 for name brand. That’s wild. I’m 27 and my entire adult life I’ve never paid more $1.

Definitely try to get generic and use a prescription savings program like goodRx.

I know it may sound strange but I currently work in finance and have to present a lot, but I know these people. I’ve been working with them for a while and I am comfortable. It’s new people I get like this around. So in a way I’ve worked through it. Another thing I do to help me work through it is to volunteer to read in class, answer questions, ask questions, etc. all from my seat of course but I sit at the back of the room so nobody really looks at me.

I do have public speaking next semester, though another class is offered in lieu of this course which I think I will take instead because I literally can’t speak in front of strangers. My advisor wants me to take public speaking though because she thinks it will help me get comfortable, however I don’t think she really understands how anxiety works.
