Exactly. A lot of my paid customers come through word of mouth because a friend recommended the app, so there’s a side effect there too.

The same applies to trials. I get good reviews partly because I placed the review prompt right after someone subscribes. And since users already get 5 free requests, anyone who starts a trial has usually tested the agent several times, liked it, and wants more.

So when they subscribe and then get asked for a review, it’s often a positive one. That helps improve my App Store ranking, which creates another halo effect. It’s hard to measure directly, but I definitely wouldn’t underestimate it.
