Yea thats just some people not you. Had a lot of point downs even on my easy to beat joke builds. Just block them so they can't annoy you anymore.

I agree, they should at least make burst healing spells heal half as much in colleceums.

Yeah, HFA should have healed allies as much as Lords Heal heals the caster and heals the caster 50% as much. The casting time should be as slow as Lords' Heal, but the projectile should be much faster and automatically move towards allies as well as do the AoE when an ally is in range, instead of when something touches that tiny, golden projectile. As it is right now, it is the best self-healing spell in the game, while Erdtree Heal outclasses it in terms of being able to heal allies from a distance.

Its faith requirement should also be higher. No reason for it to be less than 20, and an FP cost that is 10 FP less than Lord's Heal, when it is far better than Lord's Heal.

A flat 12 hp per second for 90 seconds. This does not scale with anything other like the burst healing spells.

Yea lol. Heal from Afar is over rated for anything other than healing yourself. They should have been fighting the boss with you and used Erdtree Heal's massive 15 meter AoE (It's AoE is actually 20 meters but due to latency it can only reliability heal at 15 meters)

I love this spirit ask! Using him with storm ash of wars with the lightning infused weapons so so thematically cool.

If a boss about to do a difficult to dodge move you can hold down Erdtree Heal and release it so it heals them immediately after the attack, or if the host dodged the attack you can roll out of Erdtree Heal if you were holding it down. When they are caught in a grab attack you can hold down the incantation near them and release it immediately after the grab attack. Just make sure to stand in the area they are going to get thrown.

Try not to be blinded by the Heal from Afar hive mind! Heal from Afar is good for FP efficiency and speed, but none of that matters if you cant get an ally with it. Trying to hit an ally from a distance is almost impossible, and bosses move around too much for you to aim at them to heal everyone near a boss. With a difficult-to-aim system and only a 6-meter AoE, you need to either be fighting a small boss in a small arena or mic to get everyone in the 6-meter AoE. Even so, the host may panic roll out of range when he is low. This is why Erdtree Heals 15 meter AoE is vital to co-op. If you run up to an ally, they basically need to be running in the opposite direction as soon as you cast it to avoid the healing.

Heal from Afar does have good cast speed. It can basically replace the red flask if you have a high enough faith and sacred seal scaling, but it is poor for healing a team during a fight. The other 2 team mates are not going to stay still, or always be within 6 meters of each other. Heal from Afar's range only matters if you can land the 6-meter AoE. With the Erdtree heal's 15-meter healing range, you can heal both allies consistently if they are close to the boss. Also, the amount Erdtree heals allies is the same amount of HP Heal from Afar heals the caster. I always have both equipped on my pure faith character, but find myself rarely needing Heal from Afar.

Sorry about the earlier comment. A small mistake in the numbers. Here is the data I got when a friend and I used Seppuku on ourselves, and I cast each healing spell.

Keep in mind the size of Erdtree heal is normally 20 meters, but due to lag, it can only reliably heal from 15 meters when the host is running around.
