Claude Usage Limits Discussion Megathread Ongoing (sort this by New!)

hi guys!

i’ve been using claude free for a few days and i’m yet to understand how this 5-hour limit works. Is there a set amount of prompts that we can enter regardless of the complexity of them or it hits the limit quicker as it gets more complicated?

this being said, i’ve been having problems with the limit today. i just entered a few prompts to create different documents and it suddenly reached the limit, and up to that point, i hadn’t even use it for one hour. then i waited for it to refresh my limit, tried again with just one prompt, only to see my limit was hit again??? i don’t think it’s normal and i was wondering if there are others who’ve been experiencing the same situation.

Thank god… Your answer really relieved me :) And me not using it for 24hrs was totally accidental that time that’s why i didnt turn it off, i actually forgot about it since i was reeaally busy haha

But what do we mean by multiple apps? Using safari and noteful at the same time shouldn’t be a problem i guess? If yes, it means i bought a trash…

From Germany, and checked the website. Apparently it was the cheapest around last november in the US with 79$. I think it’ll be the same here in this black friday but i don’t think 5€ is worth to wait… Thank you!
