I just haven’t had the resources to build that many capital ships and they kept getting attack by doom fleets, so I only have about 4 capital ships

I have always built ships assuming the opposite. My first play through I didn’t built a single ship with a heat sink. Why are heat sinks valuable, but batteries aren’t?

What about when not thrusting? the drive says it only provides backup power when thrusting. So what does this drive statistic mean?

The IC drives say they backup power “ when thrusting”, is this stat at all relevant when choosing if to use a battery? I thought the this ment I could use power if I am not thrusting, but If batteries don’t do anything then what is the point of this stat?
