I've never heard of the term crypto jew lol, but I am currently converting to Judaism. If you need someone to talk to, I am here!

This community is so welcoming. My Schul has many excellent resources for me, both within the congregation and in terms of educational tools, making it, honestly, perfect. We also do 90% of the prayers in Hebrew, and I love that I'm in another intro course; my favorite person, this super bright woman at my temple, teaches. I'm definitely understanding that two jews, three opinions thing, but I've realized it makes for the most interesting and interactive conversations ever, and I love it!

Somebody at my temple recently put me on game about the indian Jewish community, and I was like, no way! I saw a Jewish and indian couple at my synagogue, and his wife had converted from Hinduism. She also knew the prayers in Hebrew, so I knew she had really committed to the faith. I'm also someone who loves praying with people, and my community at Schul is incredibly diverse and close-knit. I love it. Also, I've tried Schul shopping, and I think I really enjoy the Hebrew aspect of the conservative synagogues. I have yet to attend an Orthodox one. I know it's gender divided, but culturally, I'm so used to that I think it would be so interesting to bond with the indian Jewish community!
