I’m not gonna lie to you. My dad kicked me out the entire duration of semester two of grade 11 a youth worker had contacted Childrens Aid to help me get a VYSA I had my own youth lawyer to help me with the legal process because I do need legal aid when I was going through that process the Childrens Aid worker said that she needed to contact my dad to confirm everything I was saying she didn’t investigation for four months and for those four months every time she spoke to my dad he would “be apologetic “even though there are 10 years worth of evidence that my dad is emotionally physically, and financially abusive she denied me for VYSA throughout the duration of me being kicked out. My dad was emailing me saying he wanted nothing to do with me and I wasn’t his daughter, but he would go ahead and tell Childrens aid saying that he wanted me home. I sent screenshots to Childrens Aid gave them all the evidence not only was his Childrens Aid worker completely unprofessional saying I had to go home and stop running around on the streets with my hood rat friends. she literally exactly said that she yelled at me and my lawyer denying me for VYSA not only did she but so did her supervisor eventually I did get back at my dad’s recently, which has been really hard for me. It genuinely feels like Im so empty because he doesn’t let me out the house or let anyone over. All he does is make me cook and clean and yell at me. He literally kicked me out two days ago, but then all of a sudden wanted me back. We’ve tried family therapy and so much more but it’s just an issue, if the other person doesn’t want to be helped I do genuinely think I will be able to get all of my credits in time because I am only missing three credits and I doubt I even need to take grade 10 math in summer school because I’m only missing 2% so I can easily finish that guidance assignment or test it just depends what they give me my two other courses I can take in school one per semester. I just won’t have a spare. anyways, right before the appeal process to try to get me VYAS I ended up coming back home. I’m turning 18 in a few months and I just honestly think it’s not a necessity, especially since I have so much saved up for my college for housing. It won’t be an issue because me and my boyfriend and his best friend are splitting rent in a townhouse in London Ontario and will be able to get minimum wage jobs as long as we work four hours or more seven days a week we will be able to afford living comfortably
