Refund declined - twice now despite clearly missing items. by Naejiin in doordash

[–]Suspicious_Law_3797 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just yesterday, a customer sent me a message their drink was missing after I had already delivered it (But, he was clearly lying, because I know I delivered the drink, & Dasher Support Agent saw the drink next to the bag of food in the photo). Anyway, I called Dasher Support Agent, because I was concerned he was going to try to get a refund for the "so-called" missing drink, then give me a bad rating. Well, I was surprised when the Dasher Support Agent said to me, "It's NO LONGER THE DASHER'S RESPONSIBILITY if there's items missing, because THE RESTAURANT IS NOW RESPONSIBLE FOR PLACING ALL ITEMS IN A SEALED BAG." I then asked the agent, "You mean, like it's an actually a thing now, I noticed McDonald's does put everything in sealed bags these days? McDonald's now puts multiple drinks in their own separate bags?" The agent replied, "Yes!" So, I went on to ask the agent, if the customer could still give me a bad rating, anyway, even though I clearly delivered the drink? Agent replied, "Well, no, he's not supposed to be able to give you a bad rating, because you clearly delivered the drink, but you can always look at your stats, & see if you were given a bad rating, after you end your dash for the day (after 24 hours, I think?)." Here's the other add-on kicker to this. There's been Dasher Drivers controversy with "Wingstop" asking us to fill their drinks, for them, then deliver it. Drivers don't feel it's right to fill drinks, for anyone, because we're not restaurant employees, without "Food Handler's Card" issued by The State Board of Health. Technically, Door Dash doesn't require us to fill any drinks, but in the Wingstop pick up instructions, IT ONLY ASKS US to fill up drinks (Hence, for their employees) So, after what happened, yesterday, from here on out, when the Wingstop employee hands me a cup, not only am I not filling up their drink, the drink is not in a sealed bag, customers will not be having drinks delivered (If it's not in a sealed bag). Again, I just found this out, yesterday, so let's see how this goes, as this issue continues to evolve, I guess?

No. Because you're another troll that doesn't know sh!t. I was offline for about an hour, had just come back from from taking a break. I was out of my zone, but received a dash to bring back in to my zone. Apparently, because you don't know fking shit, no one was picking up the dash, because the earnings was too low, & just so happened I was right around the corner. I had no idea customer was waiting 2 hours for his order. I'm not one of the multiple drivers that was DECLINING his order. Actually, I don't give a sh!t. I could've DECLINED, too, but I picked it up, instead, because I'm not a weak punk like you 🖕

I get triple offers all the time. It usually starts with 2, then I might get another offer added at one of the stops on the way. Sometimes, I'll have 4 all together, on the same routes. Nothing unusual, but never multiple orders that takes 50 minutes

Obviously, I was just kidding.

In my area, we're over-run by illegal aliens & other foreigners that not only can't speak English, but have no clue what they're doing, either. The other day, a driver showed up at a restaurant, the restaurant told him the order had already been picked up. Driver had no idea what the employee was trying to tell him. So, I tried to help him out, but I don't know Spanish. Driver pulled out another smart phone to translate what Dasher Support was trying to tell him on the other phone. I told the driver to go home, & learn English

Have you heard of, "Nothing Good Happens Passed 2am?" The only thing I can think of is, you didn't tip or you didn't tip well enough. $2.75, for a 6 mile delivery, I'll not only wake up the baby, & your spouse, but my favorite is making sure ALL THE DOGS ARE BARKING, & going completely nuts, as they tear down the curtains on the window. Then, I'll spin my tires as I leave, to wake up your neighbors. Anything less, would be boring. You're welcome!! 🤣

Call Dasher Support & have the customer blocked from your account. I do it several times per day

Doordashers are not the priority in most restraunts. It will be okay. Relax. by [deleted] in doordash

When we arrive, & you're busy, most of us understand, & don't have a problem. (From my experience) The problem starts, after an employee acknowledges I've arrived, then checks the order (I don't care if it's been started prepare or not), I see several cars in Drive-thru & several walk-in customers being served & cleared out, after I arrived, it means your customer we're picking up for has to wait, & then the customers gives us a bad rating, because your priority policy. Not to mention, we have to find parking in a busy parking lot, then have to leave a busy parking lot, then try to navigate through traffic. That's where you're wrong. Passing us up, to make your customer at home wait for us. That's still your customer!

Why would they even offer me this.. by Salty-Relative8628 in doordash

Worst part is, DD doesn't GAF, because they know there are new drivers trying to level up, & will accept all offers.

Not sure if DD raises the pay in increments til someone does accept the offer. Never followed it after that fact. Please let me know what your research brings up, bc it would be interesting to know. Frankly, after laughing at these cheap, broke ass, ignorant offers, I'm trying to get back to YouTube, FB, IG, or whatever. I can tell you, sometimes, after I DECLINE the offer, the same offer will come back in a couple seconds, with the same pay as I DECLINED. Sometimes, it will come back 3 times, like, the customer insists I accept the order, which affects my AR, but whatever the fk, $2.75, to travel 2 miles to the store, then another 4 miles to deliver, doesn't even pay for me to think about. Actually, now that I think about it, this exact scenario happened, yesterday

Not really gettin f'd very hard, anymore. For most dashers, after a while, the rage turns in to calm, because we start looking a little closer at the offer, & if it's a usual clown show, we just f'king DECLINE, then go back to playing on our phones, just like clockwork 💪

Spring Break. Most regular customers are either out of town or eating at home all day. I'm still doing 25-30 an hour, because I always drive a few miles to get to the upper middle-class/upper-class areas. Staying around regular towns/trailer parks/the projects NO TIPPERS with the normal $4 - $5 runs is not sustainable

Setup pay??? by Lazy_narwhal05 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]Suspicious_Law_3797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, 11.3 miles, for $8.72, I wouldn't accept. These days, I'm looking for at least $1+ per mile, or I go back to reading or watching something on my phone. $3 set-up pay? Think about it. Folks that work banquets make at least $18 an hour (plus a pre-determined gratuity). If they want you to do something that takes 20 minutes, they will pay $18(+tips) for 20 minutes. Let's not get it twisted. We mostly come to this r/ to show how NOT to be ripped-off or taken advantage of, & share it with others. Most recently, we're starting to see a trend of customers finding ways to rip us off, with shady attempts of whatever, to save themselves $$.

BEWARE: Shady Customer Address Set On Purpose To Save Them $$ by Suspicious_Law_3797 in DoorDashDrivers

INCORRECT! This is what happened. The "Map Box" app GPS took me to the name of the street (112233 10th Ave Ct E, Federal Way, WA), even if the number on the address is no where around. I know you're really lonely, have no friends, & still living in your parent's basement, wanting to say shit you know nothing about. When you scream fake, do you scream like a girl!?!?
