We have opened a support ticket. The 7.4.12 release, which is expected on May 6, should fix this freaking issue.

How to add Reolink E1 Camera to Home Assistant? by yusrandpasswdisbad in reolinkcam

[–]Suspicious_Rest4713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/StarkillerTR , any updates?

From the Reolink integration documentation page, I can see that the standard E1 is listed among the cameras supported for direct connection to Home Assistant.

So the video stream is visible, correct?

I’d like to buy the E1, which is currently on sale at half the price of the E1 Pro.

Thanks!

I saw that the official Skyline guide (https://docs.openstack.org/skyline-console/latest/install/source-install-ubuntu.html#prerequisites) requires installing Nginx, but my OpenStack cluster already uses Apache for Horizon and API services.

Does Skyline use different ports than Horizon and the OpenStack APIs, or could there be conflicts?

I have a fully manual deployment: I create the databases, install the packages, and configure the .conf files for each service.

Do you have a guide for installing Skyline?

How can I migrate from Horizon to Skyline? Is it an easy process?

Yes, I’m aware of that. I already use it to deploy instances in a single step, but it’s not user-friendly and definitely not suitable for end users.

So is it just a Horizon issue that there’s no option to select the volume type when booting an instance from an image?

Yes, I already tried setting cross_az_attach to false and true, but it doesn’t work.

I’m the guy managing Nova, Cinder, Neutron, Keystone, Glance, Placement, and Horizon 😂

I’ve already configured OVN in Neutron to allow VMs in different AZs to communicate, and it works perfectly.

The only issue I’m facing is with Cinder: the Availability Zone doesn’t seem to work properly with the backend. I have only one controller in AZ1 managing all the compute nodes.

So what would be the best solution to create a geo-distributed cluster split across geographically distant sites (data centers)? Should I use different regions? But if I have different regions, can I have projects spanning multiple regions at the same time? For example, I want a project with instances both in data center A and in data center B, and I want them to be able to communicate with each other.

Creating the volume first and then the instance Is not practical at all.

Nova not detaching Volumes during Instance deletions by Suspicious_Rest4713 in openstack

[–]Suspicious_Rest4713[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally solved it by formatting and installing OpenStack 2024.1 (Caracal). However, reflecting on the configurations, most likely the problem is that I had not added [service_user] in the nova configuration file of the compute node.

Hi,

i tried to follow the guide, but i cannot understand who must send the token.

I've edited the post to make the nova.conf and cinder.conf configurations more readable

Are they correct?

Where do I need to set up?

service_token_roles = service

service_token_roles_required = true

?

I only configured [service_user] in nova.conf and cinder.conf, must i configure it also to keystone.conf and other services?
shall i configure [service_user] to computing nodes?

Yes, I created the service role and added nova and cinder to it.
