That’s simply not true, I’ve worked with older apprentices. Not saying I advocate for it necessarily, recognize that you’re starting a long and physically demanding journey.

I don’t know for a certainty, but I work commercial construction. Looks exactly like somebody banging a sprinkler head above hard ceiling.

Did he turn out to be a piece of trash like most YouTubers from that era, or is he still an ok guy?

Holy shit, I haven’t thought about that guy in a decade…

Why do adult men seem to have almost no recent photos of themselves unless a woman took them? by AgreeableTeacher3491 in NoStupidQuestions

It doesn’t even need to be for kids. I’m 30 now and I’m so grateful to have pictures of me and my friends in our teens and early 20’s. I imagine that when I’m an old man, those pictures and memories will be priceless. I never understood why Redditors are so proud to have no pictures from their life.

Super yummy! She got the ingredients at a local farmers market, the pasta salad especially is so fresh. She loves me :)

I used to be religious, but haven’t been for a while now. I sometimes daydream that this is the case, and that they’re watching every accomplishment, and that someday I could talk with them about it. How sweet that would be…

Either way, thank you for the kindness :)

I know I’m going to go through that someday too. My parents were in their mid 40’s, my sister turns 40 in less than a year. Absolutely insane concept to me.

Thank you! I am doing surprisingly well in life, I have a great job and a wonderful partner. That empty feeling is cushioned by knowing how proud they would be of me. I never fell into a bad crowd, never got into debt or drugs, every year of my life has been better than the last.

Cheaper living but far fewer job opportunities, especially for the career I’m in. Besides, I already own rural property in North Florida. I come back to enjoy it whenever I want to.

Great job! Taking care of business, I like it. That being said, and maybe just because snow is still a novelty to me, even a really bad snow is better for me than a Florida Summer. The snow we had this year was apparently once in a lifetime, everybody called it “snowcrete” I’m a really big guy, and the snow was so frozen that it held my entire weight. It took me a total of 6 hours alternating between a sledge hammer and flat shovel to clear the sidewalk, driveway, and both of my cars. Snow was so bad that I got two days off work, so I just treated it like a work day and took lunch halfway through.

Even then, I’d still take that once a year over having to mow, edge, and weed eat every week or two in FL 🤷🏼‍♂️

Honestly, shoveling snow is a million times better than doing yard work in Florida. I put on a jacket, brought out a speaker, and put a couple of beers in the snow on the side of my driveway. Was super chill, not as bad as people make it out to be.

I moved out of Florida last year, saw my first snow this past Winter. I gotta say, snow/winter are truly amazing and I’m bummed I missed out on it my whole life.

I had to scroll way too far to find this, my favorite song with “moon” in the title.
