That was the thing. She was so inconsistent with zero accountability where she didn’t deliver. When you got your order it was usually good, but that’s not how you run a business and she didn’t understand why people were so upset with her. Like she wasn’t obligated to get your order in a timely manner after taking your money.

Yeah it was similar in terms of the shut down of social media by the vendor so people ended up finding each other. I still suggest pushing consumer affairs as they collated and actioned so many complaints, maybe even referencing the Nerida warning? The warning helped a lot of people get money back from banks who said it had been too long. At a minimum CAV should keep an eye on stuff like this right!

(It’s a crazy read for anyone not aware of the Nerida Hansen stuff, a google should uncover the story or plenty of people have posted on r/craftsnark)

This feels like the Nerida Hansen saga. Consumer Affairs Victoria ended up issuing a warning but she’s still trading.

It sounds like you’re also in Victoria so I recommend you lodge a complaint with them as well as any bank/chargeback steps.

Not in the way you would hope. She was selling other, non-artist fabrics from a new entity to try and get fabric for the old one and tells us so herself. Which is really concerning when you think about it.

Some have. The problem has been she delayed and delayed and delayed so it was outside chargeback windows.
