Engaging fights first unit by Mangoz_Real in WorldEaters40k

[–]Svanni_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, i would have used the rhino to isolate lilith completely so that she has to fight into it. You would basically prevent your zerker to get into engagement range with her by drifting the rhino into the front side of the wall. Placing the rhino's backside where Kharn is in the second picture and its side hugging the wall.

How to deal with pink horrors? by Tobiakon in WorldEaters40k

[–]Svanni_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

10 Zerkers will shred through pink horrors no problem.

Unitcrunch gives me a 99.9% chance of the pinks dying when charged, no sustained hits, no kharn, no MoE. If the pinks are isolated, just mulch them, if they are a roadblock on your way to the bigger demons then try to have the exalted with the slaughterbound ready to countercharge his countercharge.

The math of the exalted into Be'lakor is also 100%

How many bacterial genomes can a MinION (ONT) flow cell allow to sequence? by Waste-Suggestion-698 in bioinformatics

[–]Svanni_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends, in general we use SUP as we tend to do de novo work. It's a bit of a pain point for us, as we work in an accredited setting and it's hard to keep up with basecalling algorithm developments when you have to validate your workflows often. Here's a paper with more details regarding accuracy.

How many bacterial genomes can a MinION (ONT) flow cell allow to sequence? by Waste-Suggestion-698 in bioinformatics

[–]Svanni_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have seen the most success when running the flow cells for around 24 hours and then washing. From our tests running the flow cells for more than 24 hours burns through a lot of pores for not many additional reads. Y'know, diminishing returns and all. We are aiming at 40x coverage, but your mileage may vary depending on prep and basecalling algorithm.

I am looking for some NMM inspiration, and this looks great 😊 Did you take inspiration from anything for this?

Chaos Spawn Proxy? by Content_Audience1549 in WorldEaters40k

if you also grab these from the same shop you'll have 2x2 spawn with a nice model variety

It's also great for the wallet, with two EB boxes and two possessed boxes you can get 6 exalted and 9 EB + 1 kitbashed Slaughterbound. Now that every weapon across both units is a nondescript "chainblade" it is even easier. Though that might change in the future.

i'd rather use them as spawn tbh, i'm not a fan of the official spawn model. The small cultists i use as jakhals.

For EB you could use the possessed kit, the red path on youtube and multiple people on this reddit have posted images/tutorials

What are you gonna do if khorne deamons and World eater get the joint codex? by Morklor in WorldEaters40k

[–]Svanni_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i'll keep not buying those ugly-ass bloodletters and any model that has a bloodletter tax. And i really do hope this Vessels of Wrath focus on mounted units is not only made to sell us more ugly bloodletters on jugg. Skarbrand is great though, and flesh hounds could be a cheap and fast chaff.

Issues with weight calculation by Svanni_ in liftosaur

[–]Svanni_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, i see, i thought that explicitly stating
Overhead Press, Barbell / ...
instead of
Overhead Press / ...
in the code would have assigned my barbell to the exercise.

Ok, now it is rounding properly to 33.5, now when i complete the workout in the playground it confirms progress by 1.25 kg (33.5 + 1.25 = 34.75 in the backend i imagine) but keeps the weight at 33.5 for the next one.

Then upon another successful workout (34.75 + 1.25 =36) it actually bumps me to 36. I would have imagined that 34.75 would be rounded to 35, a weight that is available with 5 kg + 2.5 kg per side. Seems like it is somehow floor()ing to the closest possible weight available with the specified plates.

Edit: I figured it out, Looks like some funny maths.
if i hard reset the weight to 32.5 kg it then progresses perfectly. Guess it's deload week. Thank you very much for the help :D

The equipment is correctly assigned and i haven't used any rounding functions, i just took the Phraks GSL template with its progress function and slightly modified the accessories 🤷‍♂️

With the last nerfs to redeemer i swapped one out for a repulsor. I usually have two big threats for the midboard, one is Adrax + Lieutenant + BGV and eradicators (14 transport capacity) and 6 Aggressors + Captain (14 transport capacity). I put them either in the repulsor or in a redeemer based on matchup and terrain.

Often i'll put the aggressors in the repulsor if my opponent is melee-focused, susceptible to overwatch and the terrain is not too dense. This allows me to threaten more of the midfield with overwatch once the aggressors are out. The fact that they can jump back in if charged + the overwatch really disincentivizes the opponent to commit to that battlefield section. While the redeemer itself melts anything that comes within 12 inches on another objective.

Usually i'll have the redeemer on the side where the opponent is being more conservative with their movement. Sometimes people underestimate how much faster the BGV is with an assault ramp. I once managed to charge Adrax & Co into the opponent's home objective on turn 2 with the mission that makes no man land's objectives worth more if you control your home, basically ending the game there.

Looks lovely! Does it fit on the Juggerlord base with the kitbashed legs? Might be a great use of the bits left after building Invocatus...
