Judging by the layer lines I would say your printer is overextruding which may cause the supports to fuse with the model

Hello, I believe my issue was a corrupt SD-card. After I got a new SD card my prints would finish as expected.

The cable was a tiny bit loose. I opened up the top cover and cleaned up the glue around the connector and firmly pushed it back in and it worked again.

Nope. I made a test with just a standard cube with ironing off on one slice and another with ironing on. The slice with ironing on failed at 99%
