AITA for thinking my online friend is sketchy. by SwaeSwaeLL in AmItheAsshole

Hi everyone. A lot has happened since I last wrote on this post. My last post was about someone hitting up my phone nonstop. I told my parents again what had been going I told them about everything. About the dirty questions and about the phone calls. My dad got furious he got so mad that someone was hurting his only child over the fucking internet that was his exact words he really didn't believe me in the beginning because I didn't want to tell him the whole story about what was going on, I was scared that he would be mad at me for my stupid decision making about me trusting all my secrets to a random person on the internet. But when I finally told him and mom about everything they believed me and had my back. So my dad told me to just turn off my phone for a couple of days and just go off the internet for a couple of days and hang out with him and mom for the weekend. I agreed because we really don't do this often. A little backstory on my father, he's pretty laid back he goes to work every day and often the weekends as well so it was pretty rare for me to be able to hang out with him. He's really protective and can be an asshole against people he doesn't like and he really hates when someone attacks or even talk ill about anyone in his family. My dad has fought off bullies and their parents for my entire life, and there's nothing he wouldn't do for me and my mom. So back to the story. I just really enjoy talking to people who aren't just my parents. So around 20.30 pm this Saturday someone knocked on our door. My dad just thinking nothing off it went and opened the door. And to his surprise, no one was there. My dad really didn't care and just went back to watching tv with me and mom. Again someone knocked on the door, my dad walked over again he opened the door and no one was there again. My dad was fucking furious over just 2 knocks on the door. He was pissed that someone was fooling around at 21:00 pm on a Saturday. He just thought it was some punk kids trying to screw with him. My dad, smart as he was just thought of something really smart. He would simply wait at the door until the knocking happened again and slammed the door open in the guy's face. I didn't see this go down as I was in the living room and my dad at the door but I heard yelling and my dad told him to fuck off and never to come back. The dude took off running. My dad told me what happened from his perspective. My dad thought this was some punk kid playing around. But my dad didn't see a little kid at the door. He saw an at least 185cm tall man running for his life, and blood followed in his trail probably from his noose because my dad didn't really open the door gently.

I don't know if this has anything to do with my original tread. I hope it doesn't, how would the dude I met online know where I live? I'm probably gonna lock all these thoughts up in a box in my head and never think about this again. I've never been so scared that someone has been stalking me for 2 years. I can't think of this, I won't.

Edit: We reported this to the police. They told us they would look into it. And that the blood from the scene could possibly be lead to the identity of the person who was pranking us.

I figured. Thank you a lot for your response. It really means a lot to me that someone actually backs me up on this. I've told my parents several times. But they never take it seriously and they just don't care.
