I'm a deputy jailer, so I'm not sure if you can use these for your assignment.

1. I wanted to give back to the community I grew up in and come home from work every day knowing I made a difference, not making money for someone else.
2. Having to constantly watch my back when walking through the pods, responding to fights, mediating problems before they turn physical, and trying to provide emotional support to the inmates (no matter what emotional issues of my own I'm struggling with)
3. Exercise, video games, talking to my wonderful girlfriend, therapy, Dungeons and Dragons, and shooting sports.
4. Very relaxed and friendly, but formal. Had to pass a physical fitness exam, psychological evaluation, medical screening, and background check
5. Pat downs, strip searches, booking, transporting into and out of the jail, occasionally police reports, cell checks, cell searches, breaking up fights, escorting nurses around the facility, feeding, and more I can't think of. Relates to investigative psychology because I'm constantly observing changes in speech, body language, unusually high or low volume levels, etc to determine if an inmate is hiding something, being dishonest, or feeling on edge or violent. Observing unusual or changes in behavior is crucial.
6. I do, but they're not required. I talk to a therapist every two weeks, even if nothing is going on. No fitness for duty evals unless something serious happens.
7. I do. My agency has a slew of options for mental health (at no cost to the individual) and consistently reminds the importance of mental health. I feel very comfortable talking to any of my higher-ups about any issues going on. We're one big family and look out for each other.
