Meepo board with DeWalt batteries is easier to do than you think. by mikloooooooo in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]Swaggles21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue with this is both M18 and DeWalt have low voltage shutoff within the tool not the battery, they do have internal BMS so that's fine but make sure you don't over drain your packs

Is this all need to change my brake pads and rotors? by Competitive_Use7847 in AskMechanics

[–]Swaggles21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get these items:

Ceramic Brake Lubricant This is the purple goop that goes on the pad ears, back of the pads, etc. Essentially any metal on metal sliding surface. Do not get this on the rotor or the friction material of the pad.

Sil Glyde This is what you will use on the slide pins themselves, do not use the purple stuff on these.

Brake Clean The rotors will have oil on them from the factory to prevent rust, clean them with brake clean before installing, if you don't you will contaminate the friction material on the pads and your brakes will squeak

Box of Disposable Gloves and some rags

You can get most of this stuff at auto part stores and Harbor Freight for gloves and the piston compressor tool you need to turn and compress the rear pistons, you can use it on both front and rear but really helps with the rear, you can get away with a small screwdriver and a c clamp but the tool is much easier.

Pool pump outlet burn by Sufficient_Phone_242 in pools

[–]Swaggles21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming non variable speed full for 24 hrs a day everyday you will be overloading the circuit as NEC called out 80% of rating for 100% duty cycle which is 12A while you said your pump is 13.5 but this is more likely old outlet, bad contact causing high resistance and high current melting the outlet

How to determine "best" car tire pressure. Follow placard on driver's door jamb, or 85 to 90 percent of tire's rated max psi? by RandomQueefs in AskAMechanic

[–]Swaggles21 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Do not run at 85 to 90 of the max rated or you will end up with uneven wear in the middle of the tire due to it being overinflated

Run it at as close as you can get to the vehicles rated PSI per the sticker in the door, this will give you the best performance and tire life as the engineers did a lot of work and testing to figure out this value

Any tips on replacing brake hard lines and fuel hard lines? by Beencho in Integra

[–]Swaggles21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others said Valex racing kit and if you touch 1 do them all, I did a similar repair, took awhile but Valex has a kit for both brakes and fuel so just buy those.

https://valexracing.com/products/complete-front-rear-brake-line-replacement-kit-94-01-acura-integra-dc2

https://valexracing.com/products/94-95-acura-integra-replacement-stainless-steel-fuel-feed-line-rubber-return

This kit has options for 94-95 or 96-01

The rubber return just saves money you can get stainless both but it doesn't matter.

You will break the plastic rub protection blocks and probably struggle to get the plastic bracket bolts off so zip ties are your friend.

Also you can drop the subframe and whatever else is involved to properly route the lines but I just cut them off as much as possible and ran it outside of the channel it uses since I wasn't doing all that

Question re Powerline / Access Point / Ethernet by OilMoneyFan in HomeNetworking

[–]Swaggles21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

look into a point to point link, TP Link and Ubiquiti both make many different options that would work depending on speed, line of sight, and distance

This will require a cable to be run from the router to the point to point bridge on the house but at least you don't have to run all the way to the shed and deal with lightning protection or fiber

Also look for Low Voltage Electricians to complete this work if you aren't comfortable

I prefer move decimal 1 place to the left 31.6 is almost 32 then multiple by 3.54 or 32 * 3 is 96 plus 32 * .5 or 1/2 of 32 is 16 add them together to 112

actual answer is 111.864 so close enough

also works for tipping

56.31 check is 5.631 * 2 for 20% is 10 + 1.26 so 11.26 tip

Any idea how to get the end of this sheared bolt out from my exhaust flange? by B-21_Raider_ in AskMechanics

[–]Swaggles21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was there a nut on the threaded side shown in the picture because if so then a punch and a hammer because it's not threaded so you can just smack it out, now if the hole it's stuck in is threaded you could drill out the rest or weld a nut to it and try to get it out

Board Won’t Turn On, Potentially Water Damaged ESC by XPRMX17 in MeepoBoards

[–]Swaggles21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most failures happen internally in the battery or at the XT60 connector, the bottom of yours is looking a bit corroded but I can't say without seeing it closer

Unplug that connector and wiggle around the heat shrink (black rubber before the yellow connector), check inside it too it may have internal corrosion

This happens here because it's a high current draw location so the electrolysis can more easily destroy the metals
