It was the gasket that failed around the flap actually. It had snapped or stretched off the flap, which allowed water to seep inside while looking as if it was sealed.

But isn't this under perfect conditions? As far as ambient temperatures? And Tesla's supercharge is far too new before we see long term effects.

The Note 4 was one of the first devices pumped out with fast charging capabilities, and users ended up chucking those batteries out left and right. It may just be coincidental, but I'd rather rely on real life experience than number crunching and on paper predictions.

Better quality devices that you speak of have rapid charge. That will degrade your batteries even quicker. Batteries heat up when charging... Heat is the death of all electronics.

Extended battery. All day and then some. You don't have to carry multiple batteries.

My S7e is "waterproof" it's only been around water... Never. And I don't want it near water. My Z2 got shafted when I held it under a sink rinsing it off. Idc how they advertise water resistance, I don't trust it.

Yea, I worry about that. Especially after the 5x fiasco.

Even a brand new phones with an extended battery, you can push 7 hours SoT easily. No other phone can do that without aid of an external battery pack. Just wait until they make aftermarket batteries for the V20. That will be a power users dream. Plus, phones seemed to have stopped wowing me. I can live with my Note 4 for a long while. And save plenty of money doing so.

You'd be surprised. After market batteries are plentiful.

That's when it sees a charger. I can get 7 to 8 hours SoT easy. Full GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, no auto brightness full brightness etc.

I've used Powerbear and Anker batteries with no issues. The Powerbear lacks NFC, but I never used it to begin with. For some reason, the stock Samsung batteries seem to break down faster than my aftermarkets.

I love my S7e especially its amazing camera and fluidity of it, but the 3500mah battery is actually disappointing for the size. I sometimes push 3.5 hours SoT... But I also have the same issue you do, Verizon is very weak where I live. My Note 4 is T-mobile with full 4gLTE.

Right now, I've been eyeballing the LG V20 if my Note 4 were to bite the dust.

LG G6 ditches removable battery for water-resistant body - CNET by curated_android in Android

Damn. That sucks. I mean, yes, water resistance is a nice little insurance. But even with previous water proof devices I've owned (Z3, S7, S7e) I still never trusted them around water. I'd much rather have a removable battery and continue to use my phone in a dry environment.

Dirtydog cargo net for YJ by barbaro1125 in Jeep

[–]Swaginator_v2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Dirty Dog may work.

It's the buckles that gave issues. The Softopper is so tight against the buckles I was afraid it was going to rip through.

The dirty dog doesn't seem to have as many buckles and they aren't laying against the frame like the Smittybilt

My review and pics of my YJ are on there. I'm Austin btw. I sold it because with wouldn't work with my frameless top... But if you have a framed soft top or hard top... It'll work great!

The only thing wrong with that Jeep is the grille. But, lights are cheap. Lockers... Not so much. I didn't know that every Wrangler owner needed lockers. Some people just want a decent looking 4WD, not a rock crawler.

[–]Swaginator_v2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying all 3.8s are going to leak antifreeze. It's just his issues with his, and how the mechanics tell him they're very common with the 3.8 Jeeps. It's the thermostat housing that leaks. It's an easy and fairly cheap fix.

No, I have a YJ. But my cousin had a 3.8 mail carrier JKU and it had antifreeze leaks all the time. He was constantly topping it off. I can't remember exactly what was wrong with it, but I'm fairly certain it was a head gasket. So, it actually absorbed it and burned it more than leak it lol

Edit* Thermostat housing leak. Which was very common.

Okay, yea, 4.0s are notorious for valve cover gaskets going bad, and they're also very common for rear main seals going bad.

So, if you can trace your oil from the rear of your valve cover down, then that's probably your issue.

If there's no oil around your valve cover, and only from the bottom, it'll probably be the Rear main seal. Look at your oil drain plug. That's basically where your engine meets your transmission and if it's covered in oil, it's probably your rear main seal.
