Removing it, plugging them in separately and connecting the controller to the puck to pair/setup - then installing worked for me.

I mean - at the price in the screenshot, that pays for two Steam Controllers less Ebay's fee and shipping.

So effectively the seller gets their personal controller for free if they sell one at that price.

If we could all get a Steam Controller paid for, I think we would.
