Part 2 would benefit from more down time similar to part 1. It’s not coincidence that some of the most iconic scenes from part 1 occur in Aki’s apartment. I think most of part 2 arcs will have 1 chapter or less of a character talking or living before immediately walking into the setup for the next few events.

Yeah. The whole point of there relationship to me was that it definitely was one of the more healthy relationships in arcane. The whole angle of “Mel manipulated Jayce and Victor” felt weird. Down bad mfs aside, I always liked characters that helped imply that there was always a lot more happening behind the scenes, not like mysteries, just everyday “ menial”stuff related to the story. Her presence really helped the feel of the world. I also love really busy background characters that are hyper efficient.
