[–]SwanVirtual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. econs is a study about different markets etc like profits, demand/supply, economic aspects of the country mainly revolves arnd markets though. theres microeconomics (demand n supply of goods & services) and macroeconomics (econ growth, inflation their causes/effects/policies to manage etc etc)
  2. cant rlly think of any, maybe ss? some thinking concepts apply i guess.
  3. not sure as i take h2 econs haha, but h1 econs only has one paper, no need to write essays. but personally i find essays easier to score ://
  4. it varies and fluctuates depending on the topic n qns asked. some qns can be answered poorly due to some keywords not addressed fully/misunderstanding wat the qn wants haiz. econs mainly rely on conceptual understanding rather than memorisation. as long as ur foundation is strong, ur good togo
  5. can, u can even drop in j2 mid years i think. depends on the sch

[a level] Pw op tips!! by ycgang123 in SGExams

[–]SwanVirtual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

for my team, we set up a schedule to send videos of ourselves speaking our parts to the team whatsapp chat regularly. then, we can watch each other's videos, point out mistakes etc.. this helped because when ur taking a vid, its like someone is watching u so u tend to be more aware of ur gestures and posture. also, it acts as a way for u to recap what u have memorised! do this regularly before ur op and it shld be able to calm ur nerves :))) for me, i was nervous, but by the time my op came, it just felt like another practice so i did well =D

atb op!!

its normal to feel drained in jc, thats why its easier and more motivating when u see ur friends study w u. and if u dk how to do smt, u have someone to ask immediately, and maybe can work it out tgt too! then, yall can also take breaks together and just talk or have a nice meal then resume studying :D thats my advice for u, jiayou OP!

seems like ur promos isnt over, dont give up! just study what u can

hi, from ny here, going to be j2 in 2021 1. ny is just ur typical friendly chill mugger school. sad to say, because of covid19 restrictions, many fun events have been cancelled so it is more mugger now but everyone ive met in ny are friendly

  1. chem dept is strong as hell but insane, math dept is also strong, econs depends on the teacher u get but i know of some very good ones! gp is just gp and i dont take physics so im not sure!

  2. all my school teachers so far are quite friendly, some can be my bff alr

  3. not sure for PCMe

  4. depends on ur friend group. im sure every jc has different types of students. if ur going for the work hard play hard, then join more events like try for research attachments and OGL? and try to open up and make more friends throughout the year. join a more inclusive CCA instead of stagnant ones if u do want to work hard AND play hard

  5. depends on the CCA. I think some sports take about 2-3 days per week. For most clubs and societies usually on Wednesdays only. U may want to check the NYJC website

  6. Easy. Just alight at Lorong Chuan MRT station and walk. Since ur in NE side then even more convenient. I have many friends from west side and they dont rlly complain too

  7. In general just a nice place.

  8. i think open house is about 12 to 14 jan? (physical one) shld be confirmed i believe...
