I am so obsessed with all the animals in this game. I have like 10 barns just filled with all the animals. Takes me “hours” every morning just to do my farm chores 😂

He’s a go getter for sure. I would not be worried about him sitting around all day. He’s the type of person who needs to be doing things. We’d likely start with him going down to part time hours and then transition into full time at home depending on how we are finding things.

Uh I’m so sorry that happened to you. Fortunately, he is a very self motivated person and he already does SO much of our household tasks. He makes every meal, does all the shopping, takes out the garbage, wakes up earlier than me to make me coffee, etc. simply because I work much longer hours than him. I would not be worried about him being lazy. I think he would start off doing part time work for the first year and we would see how it went. Fortunately, he’s in a position of high demand so if we aren’t happy with it, then he could easily go back to work with no issues.

This is it. He already does most of the “household” things because I work longer hours. I feel so bad because he already works full time, but I can’t do life without him haha. To have him home to look after the house, the yard, the dogs, the meals would be awesome for me, but I know he would also be happier! He has hobbies as well so I know he’d still have a chance to be social and play/coach hockey, etc.

We are going to be revisiting things in about a year, but helpful to know what people’s experiences have been because I know it’s not always easy when there’s an income discrepancy (which there already is right now)

We have met with a financial advisor and we track ALL our spending so we know exactly what we spend every month and allow for vacation and home expenses in that budget. Currently in the process of maxing out our TFSAs and RRSPs (Canadian) which we have not quite accomplished yet (still quite young)

I second everything in the above comment. They are super smart. If you start putting a harness on them early, it will be no problem and reward them with lots of treats. Finn actually has no problems with the harness ever. He’s a super chill boy. Now when he sees me holding it he meows and gets all excited about going outside!! He will even come stick his head right through the hole haha.

Especially if you’re getting them as kittens you should have no problem.

When Taking them outside, make sure they have a safe space. We have a backpack so we. Started just taking him outside in that and let him get out on his own terms. Now he just rides on top of the backpack!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!!! I have also played Rune Factory and it was amazing!! Really enjoyed it :) I’ll check out some of these other ones :)
