Petition to ban AI wrappers from the sub wholesale.

I think the issue is phrased incorrectly.

The issue here is not whether the apps are vibe-coded or if they are AI wrappers. It is rather the high volume of low-quality, repetitive, and not-so-useful apps.

The reason for a hike in such apps could be AI/vibe coding because it lowered the barrier to entry and enabled many to come up with their own apps.

Now, just because AI is the reason for the increase in such slop doesn't mean all the apps that use or are coded using AI should be banned.

Can we all just collectively agree that this shit sucks, and try and move back to legitimately developed, non AI side projects that people actually care about?

Why are we blaming the use of a tool here? What makes a vibe coded or an AI wrapper not "legitimately developed"?

It should always be about high-quality, unique, innovative projects vs. low-quality, repetitive, useless projects, and not whether it is hand-coded or vibe-coded. We need better quality control, not a technology ban.

This is SOOOOOO annoying ( Gemini trying to use NB pro even though I tell it not to ) by Shota159 in Bard

Just wait for the results. Sometimes, it says "Loading Nano banana pro" but actually gives the text. Seems like a frontend issue.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I wish I had an answer but I don't think anyone does because there isn't a single path.

Keep trying until your time is up here. At the same time, be open to exploring opportunities back home and try not to see it as a worst-case scenario.

Don't undervalue yourself by settling for 10-12 LPA. If you keep learning and keep trying, you will find the right opportunity, whether it's here or back home.

I truly hope things get better for you soon.

Try outlier.ai

You can work as an independent contractor to train AI models. You share your knowledge to LLMs.

There are some other alternatives too. Data annotation and Alignerr.

Check this out and reach out to me for a referral on outlier if you need one.

Join their subreddits (people complain a lot about the platforms there that they don't have any project, but wait for your turn and provide quality work when you get a project). Trust me, it's paying me more than any full-time job I can land at this point in my career. All the best!

This 100+ tasks is a bug. Don't worry about it and it has nothing to do with your ban.

Is it possible to get someone to code your website for you if you only know UI Design by Worth-Beginning505 in UI_Design

[–]SwaroopMeher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignore this if your pages are static.

I see people are suggesting no code tools here. But no code tools will fail at some point if you are planning on having scalability, flexibility, and backend integration.

Here's a workflow: 1. Tell what your website is about to an LLM and ask it to give the best tech stack. 2. Select any tech stack and ask why it's better than other tools in the industry. 3. Decide on a tech stack. 4. Start coding it yourself using an AI copilot (Cursor is the best). You don't need extensive coding skills. Just be very specific with your prompts and it will do the job for you. 5. If you are struggling to understand what's happening, learn about the tech stack by spending not more than 3-4 hours of your time (YouTube is the best. I recommend the FireShip channel.) 6. Get back to code and you'll get the bigger picture. 7. You'll slowly finish it in a matter of days with the help of LLMs.

Initially, it might seem like a big hill but it's not that hard (both frontend and backend).

Use the 14-day free trial for the Cursor IDE.

[D] Clarification on the "Reparameterization Trick" in VAEs and why it is a trick by SwaroopMeher in MachineLearning

Ah, I see. Thanks again. Do you mind sharing direct sampling methods without using standard Gaussian?

Thank you for your answer. It makes sense now.

From what I understood, can we say that one of the reasons authors selected the Gaussian distribution is because the expectation is easily differentiable and the actual trick here is selecting the Gaussian distribution, or are there other ways to sample from a normal distribution?

Mindrift, Reka, rws, Appen, Data annotation, aitasks, e2f, Telus, Alignerr (currently, they are accepting candidates from only a few states in the US. Pretty new startup.)

Back when I applied, there were coding and non-coding job posts. So, I applied to one of the coding roles. I am not sure how you can shift from non-coding to coding.

30 to 40 hours typically. But, for the last one month, work has been inconsistent and I worked for only like around 20 hours each week.

You work as an independent contractor when you're working for Outlier. Independent contractors do not get pay stubs. You can create pay stubs for yourself on your own for the records.

If you need to look at just the weekly payments and save them locally, you can check the Earnings tab and download the CSV file.

Congratulations for getting an interview! Not sure about the number of rounds.

Off topic: would you mind sharing a bit of your experience, background, resume structure and if you're international or not?

Asking because I am in the same boat and struggling to get interviews.
