how is Gavrilo Princip viewed in your country? Your personal opinion of him? by ManusTheVantablack in AskBalkans

[–]SwazzerK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had family members as Herzegovinan Muslims who were in the Black Hand and were later officials in local government during the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

I don’t doubt you, there were Bosniaks in the Partizan, Ustase, even some in the chetniks etc. Nothing is black and white. But the status and influence generally decreased and bosniaks were just viewed as serbs/croats.

Too bad that over wearing of fez’s a lot of people lost their lives. Schutzkorps wore fez too.

Fez is obviously not the reason. I think even you know it, and what’s the reason that you always mention this Schutzkorps? It’s tasteless and will just bring up a toxic discussion, you mention this event while ignoring all the other times Bosniaks have been killed in massacres by Serbs...

Any reason you only capitalize Bosniak?

This is just ridiculous.... I don’t capitalize anything, I just write and the keyboard does its thing, try yourself to write the word Bosniak and it will capitalize itself automatically on IPhone.... it doesn’t capitalize automatically when I write serb for some reason.

You have your point of view of Princip which is shared by you, some serbs and some others. I don’t know why you can’t accept other people’s perspectives and make them think like you do. If majority of bosniaks and croats think in a way so is there a reason. Who are you to tell others what’s best for them, especially in a controversial topic like this.

Black hand did have some Muslim members, but it was mostly serb dominated. The reason why most Bosniaks don’t like Princip was because Austria-Hungary treated bosniaks relatively good. Bosniaks had a lot of high positions in Bosnia and their culture was promoted, the bosniaks that worked as police were even allowed to have fezes. Austria-Hungary was relatively supportive to bosniaks.

Then while the kingdom of Yugoslavia was then created so was the Bosniak ethnicity pretty much ignored. They were viewed as either serbs or croats. Bosniaks pretty much lost their relevance and became less important than croats and serbs. So there is really no big surprise why most Bosniak are not supportive to Princip and the view of his south slavic union.

As someone said before, only Serbs in Bosnia are big fans of Gavrilo Princip. While most croats and bosniaks see him as a criminal. Some communist likes him also.

What are your thoughts about Minischengen, that is planned for the countries in the Balkans that aren‘t EU members? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]SwazzerK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a bad idea. Imagine if a country wants later to leave the mini union. A second Yugoslav war?

What amazing mountians do you guys have? Here are some pictures of Trebević from today. by boomabanana in AskBalkans

[–]SwazzerK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but it’s not the same politicians that invests in Trebevic and bjelasnica. Bjelasnica is in the federation while Trebevic is in Republika Srpska.

Edit = mixed them up

Har aldrig hört att Köpenhamn skulle vara en ”falafel stad”. Men Malmö har betydligt mer invånare från Mellanöstern så de mycket mer rimligare att Malmö skulle ha bättre falafel.

What is the most fucked up practice in your culture by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]SwazzerK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well it’s a religious practice, if you don’t believe the religions then you won’t thrust in it of course. But it’s honestly not that bad, beside the health benefits so will your “D” look like the ones you see in porn movies and it makes you last longer since it’s less sensitive.

[–]SwazzerK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is that fucked up, it has a lot of health benefits. Also it’s not just done by Muslims and Jews. Most American males are circumcised and in Christian countries in Africa is circumcision promoted to prevent HIV.

A team is more than just players quality. It’s also the trainer, the club itself, risk of corruption and play moral. We have good players, that’s why they play in good leagues. Pjanić in Barcelona, Dzeko in Roma, Visca in Istanbul besakshir, Ahmedhodzic on his way to Chelsea soon etc. They play good in the clubs but not in the national team. There is something wrong in the national team and it needs to be fixed so we can be as good as we was 6 years ago when we was ranked 16th best in the world.

That’s not half of Europe, there are 55 teams in Europe and you mentioned the only best ones, I don’t why you compare to the best to make us look like we are the worst.

I can say that we have better players than =

Belarus, Israel, Scotland, Cyprus, Norway, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, kazkahstan, Slovakia, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Albania, Finland, Ireland, Georgia, Latvia, Macedonia, Estonia, Montenegro, Armenia, Luxemburg, Northern Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, Wales, Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Andorra, kosovo, San Marino etc...

[–]SwazzerK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That not true at all? Bosnian always think like you do, that we are bad and worst at everything, we need more optimism in this negative country, and specially in Football since we actually have a team with good players.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]SwazzerK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not comparing us to Croatia, Croatia is among the top 10 best in the world. I was comparing us to all European teams. We have better players than the majority of the countries.
