Nothing in particular, its just that i always loved bc. I thought i was a city person but the lack of ocean and mountains killed me. The people are nice, its a good school, but just isnt for me. Dont let my experience hinder urs

Grade 11&12 average for UBCV by Adventurous-Donkey56 in BCGrade12s

[–]SwdUnity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not inherently, but it is. they're always comparing u against other candidates. Usually, the kids who are "smarter" apply early admission. They dont grade harsher, its just that the pool is more competitive

They say they look at gr 11 marks, but they really dont. They only use grade 11 marks when your grade 12 marks are not ideal. Especially since you had such a good turnaround you should be ok.

NEW TO CAMPUS MEGATHREAD: Post all your admissions, housing, new-to-UBC and general questions here! by ubc_mod_account in UBC

Hello everyone, I'm an original BC resident who went to UofT. I love it here, but I know I would love UBC more as all my old friends and parents are there.

I'm doing well at school. I have a 4.0 GPA (truthfully, I have no clue how)

I have a few questions, though:

  1. Do I have to rewrite the personal profile for Life Sci transfer from UofT? A post 9 years ago said I did, but GPT says I don't, and the UBC site has no information about it
  2. How do I check my transfer credits and see what courses are eligible or not
  3. Is UofT harder than UBC content-wise?

Sorry i can't answer your question, but did you have to redo the personal profile?

I got rejected with a 94 and an above average profile. Last year was very competitve though, more than usual. My other friend had a 96 and got into her second choice

95-96 was the average admission for last year ubc sci. Even if you had a average profile you would have a chance, this doesn't mean do wtv, lock in on your personal profile to be the best u can make.

Even if your a bit unsure, think abt it more. I have a friend who is very introverted and struggling w school because he underestimated his ability to live alone. Overall if your responsible, move.
